We usually avoid B&B but Cayucos Sunset Inn is the best. We stayed in the Sunset room, a large and charming room with a huge balcony, limited ocean view in the distance. We felt welcome, cared for by Bonnie, Gina, Jennifer and Lisa. Cookies and milk are a nice touch. Thank you.

Beautiful, charming and comforting! The service was wonderful, too. Great food, fireplaces, jacuzzi tub, ocean view balcony, warm ambience, filtered water in the room, larger frig and wet bar.. All near downtown Cayucos! Staying there made it the perfect weekend! Thanks to the staff and to the owners for this terrific place!

We're pretty picky about our hotels/motels. Cayucos does not have very many nice places to stay-- it's all motels and this property is the closest thing you'll get to a 4 star hotel. This inn stands out from the crowd with charm, service and cleanliness. It's probably newer and cleaner than most of the other inns in the vicinity. The... More

We very much enjoyed our family get away at the Cayucos Sunset Inn. Our two daughters enjoyed everything and that's worth a lot! We loved our time there. We had a suite and even felt we had enough privacy between parents/kids. Plenty of room. Even cookies and milk every evening. Yum! Everything was very enjoyable. Free parking and free Wi-Fi... More

The proprietors of this B&B have put a lot of thought into the little extras that make for a great stay (i.e. cookies and milk before bed, a gourmet breakfast menu, great customer service). We thoroughly enjoyed it and will stay again.

We recently spent two nights at the Cayuos Sunset Inn and loved it. The rooms were clean and beautifully appointed in a simple French country style. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a suite with a balcony and an ocean view. It was perfect! The care was evident in the little details. Nice breakfasts, great showers, nice bedding... More

One of the best getaways we have experienced in thirty years. From the moment we arrived, Gina and her staff were wonderfully welcoming. Our room was extraordinarily beautiful as well as comfortable and our daily breakfast was gourmet quality served in a casual atmosphere. We can't wait to return!

Wow! My husband and I wanted to get away for 2 nights in Cayucos where we have spent some day trips but never over night. We ended up booking the Sunset Inn based on some of the reviews and liked the idea of a complimentary breakfast and Jacuzzi hot tubs. This was a total spur of the moment idea, we... More

Cayucos has been a getaway destination for my wife and I for the past decade. Unlike Pismo or even Morro Bay, Cayucos still has that small beach-community ambience that is becoming less commonplace along the central coast. We had previously stayed at On the Beach and Cass House, both with a long list of both pluses and minuses. My wife's... More

We booked the Sunset Inn for three nights to celebrate our anniversary. We really wanted to like this place, because it has a lot of good features. However, a lot of small problems tended to curb our enjoyment. The first incident came at arrival. They advertise checkin between 3 and 4 pm. We arrived at 3:30 to find our room... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Cayucos Sunset Inn is a welcoming, open building trimmed with beautiful flowers and hedges. We have a shaded patio in front for the guests to relax in. The patio opens to our quaint dinning area where we serve a free breakfast and hold a complementary wine and cheese hour. Our five rooms vary in size. Four are located upstairs with ocean view patios. The rooms open to a living room area with a television, electric fire place, and couch in the front. Through the small hall, the bedrooms have luxurious king size beds, additional electric fire places, and small refrigerators. Each of these four rooms have jacuzzi tubs and rain shower heads. We have a smaller downstairs room we offer as well. We are located in a small throwback beach town. Our building is about a block from the beach with ocean views up top. The Inn is located on the main road up from Cayucos's restaurants and shops. ... more   less
