I thought I had no interest in B&Bs or the Central Coast. I was wrong on both counts. My wife & I had a great visit to Cass House. Our room (the beach cottage) was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The food is fantastic (the daily breakfasts and the epic 13-or-so course dinner). Everyone who works there is super friendly and accommodating.... More

The Cass House Inn & Restaurant was my reason for heading to the coast. At 222 N. Ocean, the house from the 1870s, was converted to a lovely small Inn with five rooms. The rooms are comfortable and attractive. The highlight is the restaurant which has won some wonderful awards. Some of the greens and produce are grown right on... More

The room was immaculate. The staff was friendly and attentive. I love the Sumbody bath products that they provided; I even bought some before I left. Dinner was absolutely amazing. We actually planned our stay for the dinner and it was completely worth it. I can't imagine staying anywhere else next time I'm in town, actually the place IS the... More

Give Cass House a try. The house, at least 100 years old, brings back a quieter time. Janice (or is it Janis?) is the perfect manager--graceful, pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts are sumptuous, which made me wish we had had the time to try one of their dinners, reputed to be wonderful.

It's a lovingly restored property with a lot of charm. We stayed in the Ocean Terrace room and it was great. But the meal...14 inventive, innovative, delicious small-plate courses. We did the wine pairings with it as well. It was a great experience and surprisingly well-priced. Breakfasts were delicious too.

This is one of those small, magical places that totally delivers on its promise. The staff is enthusiastic and sensitive to guests' needs, everything in the room is tasteful and comfortable, including super showers, and just great attention to detail throughout. We happened to be there for a 14-course tasting menu! Yikes, the meal was a bit too long, but... More

Enjoyed our second stay at this lovely and historic inn. Reserved the suite downstairs and sat on our porch for some wine as the misty sea air crept up to us. The fireplace in our suite was calling to us! Such nice ladies at reception, we will always have good memories if each stay. The restaurant was on vacation for... More

Unbelievable stay at the Cass House. From the time we arrived until the time we left a five star experience. Fantastic food and wine experience. Nothing like it on the Central Coast. The owners are passionate about making the Cass House the premier dining/lodging spot between Carmel and Santa Barbara.

Wow. My boyfriend surprised me with a wknd trip down to the central coast and included in the surprise is dinner at the Cass House. Knowing how much I freaking love eating, he did his research and booked this gem. As we were walking towards the restaurant from our B&B next to the ocean, I had no expectations whatsoever of...
