It's an Econolodge, what can you expect? But it did the trick for one night. It's old and not so fancy but it was quiet, had a refrigerator that worked and a Jacuzzi tub that my kids enjoyed. The beds squeaked. The included breakfast was coffee, orange juice, and doughnuts. It would not be my hotel of choice but for... More

This is very much a "greasy spoon" of hotels. Some minor defects include: carpet stains, broken bathroom floor tiles, leaky toilets, tears in the bedding, noisy mini-fridge, some lights not working, pool closed due to diarrhea, etc. But I would go again. Why? It's nice and cheap, the beds are clean, and I can get a good night's sleep right... More

I stayed here 16 nights in November, 2014. I changed rooms twice before they offered me one that was acceptable. Problems included in the first room (at the very back of the hotel) a filthy carpet, no hairdryer, no microwave, no ironing board and iron, mismatched bedding, beat-up furniture; second room - marginally better, but the heating/cooling unit wasn't working;... The hotel looks good from outside, but the renovations are rather strange. Instead of a tub/shower combination, the room has a Jacuzzi, with a shower head that was installed in the wall. Try stepping in to a Jacuzzi to take a shower. Long step and hard for older people. And, the Jacuzzi doesn't even work. The wallboards halfway up the... More

Nice area in Castro valley nearby lots of useful establishments. Overall great hotel. Stayed for two weeks. Area is nice and quiet. Staff is pleasant and helpful. One room had some issues such as toilet not seated on floor properly and bathrooms lights kept going out in morning then back on later. Overall great and I recommend!

I recently stayed at this place for one night, Saturday night and I can't say enough how awful the front desk staff was. The man who helped me was unprofessional and outright rude. He should get some training in the hospitality industry and how to treat the patrons who stay at the motel. There was another Asian woman who was... More

The rooms are clean and location is decent. We took a room with 2 queen beds and the room was spacious. There was even a whirlpool. The microwave and fridge were mid-sized and was very convenient for the family. Breakfast is not much other than a few bagels and donuts and there is no sit in area.

I see some reviews where couple guests were not happy to stay at this place. From my past experience if you book room thru some travel websites and not using hotel's own website(www.choicehotels.com), you do save money however you often have to take a discount in quality. My 4 days stay at this hotel was without any issues. Yes, breakfast... More

Not worth the amount you pay for this place. Got there and checked the bed and right away found hair and dirt on the sheets. The blankets had burnt holes thru them from ppl smokin in the room even tho it was a non smokin room. You shouldnt have to make a trip back downstairs and ask thru the after... More

My husband, young children, and myself booked this hotel online. We showed up and immediately were not impressed. We unloaded the car, attempted to get comfortable but the place was filthy. It reminded me of a scary dumpy hotel from a movie. My 5 year old refused to use the bathroom because it was gross, it mostly smelt of mildew.... More
