My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on a mini-vacation. We didn't want to pay the higher prices for hotels in San Francisco and we wanted to be close to BART. We achieved both with Castro Valley Inn. The hotel is an older property but has been maintained well. Our room was clean and comfortable for the two... More

I have been staying at the Castro Valley Inn for at least four years and the reason is the manager Les, he always is there and does everything he can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I stay there every Monday night and he does everything possible to give me the same room. All I can say is... More

On our way to an Oakland A's game, we were looking for a place to sleep-shower-leave. Based on the reviews here we picked CVI. And it was a very good choice! Rooms are spacious, very clean and silent. The CVI is perfectly located near the highway and has a Safeway across the street. Les is a great host with good... More

Nice clean and comfortable. This a good choice for an economical budget. Much nicer than other hotels at the same price. The neighborhood is also quiet and friendly. Most of the major chain stores are close by and there are many restaurants to choose from in the area.

Friendly, clean, comfortable, and economical; that's all we need. We chose Castro Valley Inn based on the other reviews. It's a great place to stay. Les, the manager was very friendly and helpful to us. Across the street from the inn is a small shopping center with Safeway, if necessities are needed. BART is located 1.3 miles away.

Our first time staying at the Castro Valley Inn, and we loved it -- clean rooms, quiet, nice grounds - just the way you want it to be. Les the manager made sure we had everything we needed, and he, the handyman, and housekeeping staff gave our every request their personal attention. It was very convenient for us, since our... More

We try to make it to the Bay Area at least once a year and have always stayed next door . The CVI looked a little too expensive for our budget , but the other property as become a bit too grungy for us . I love the location , just off the freeway , still easy to get into... More

We keep going back to this inn because of its safe location in the SF Bay Area and its reasonable rate. We were there last Spring and will be back in a few weeks. As everybody has said, Les is very friendly and has an amazing memory. I went jogging one early morning and it is doable, the neighborhood is... More

Clean, cheap, and conveniently located. A brand new Safeway grocery store is right across the street. It was a nice room, with a queen bed, a desk, and a small table, and a long vanity and bathroom counter. It had a refrigerator, microwave, and in room coffee pot. The bathtub had a grab bar and a rubber bathmat. However, the... More
