I had a great experience here and I would like to visit again. I love the location. It is a five minute walk to a breathtaking beach with trails along the bluffs as well as on the beach. There is also a five mile hike through the redwood forest to a pygmy forest. The grounds are beautiful too. Be aware... More

We stopped here on our way up the California 1 and stayed in the Eucalyptus cabin. It was a fun and unique experience! Our cabin had a twin bed "downstairs" and a double bed up in a loft. Clean sheets were provided at check-in, and we made our own bed. We also heated the cabin by building a fire in... More

Wanna get away. For those of you who did a lot of camping while raising a family and are now retired, what a way to ride the pasture. Clean, with log cabins that are cozy, a main house rich in history, and two hosts who are fun to talk to. Everybody we met was with a smile upon their brow.... More

We had a terrible stay in this place. We were explained that we have to leave all the doors and lights open (no intimacy!!!) and then when a big group arrived, they were all over the place and we just didn't know where to be to find a little peace and calm. What really bothered us is that we were... More

Stayed here as a family of five on one of the larger rooms. The house and grounds are astounding and the kindness of the staff second to none. The house itself is huge with a truly fabulous shared kitchen, wooden stove, and the shared living areas are filled with antique furniture and a real homely feel. it is like stepping... More

we chanced upon this place and only spent one night there _ we were road tripping from seattle to berkeley _ but it was amazing. from the fresh lettuce and strawberries we picked ourselves in the garden to the wood burning fireplace to the piano in the living room, it was a really special experience. we had this huge old... I am only a traveler, just wanting to share: If you want inexpensive lodging (around $40 per person/nite, kids much less) with cooking facilities in a historic farmhouse or cabin in view of the ocean (and a 5-minute walk away), this is the perfect place. Lodging includes the 2-story farmhouse, or separate cabins. Wood-burning stoves are the only heat (dress... More

Jug Handle Farm is located perfectly for exploring both Fort Bragg and Mendocino, nearly half way between them both. The Farm is really a step up from hostel accommodation and reminds me more of European pension style accommodation. There are camping spaces available, a large room that sleeps 7-8 I believe, and then a selection of rooms that have either... More
