If you are on the side away from the freeway, this is an excellent hotel. Even on the top floor on the freeway side, there is enough noise to wake a light sleeper (like my wife) several times at night. Stayed at HI Carson for 4 nights during the Pac-10 Basketball Tourney. Typical for a good Hampton Inn. I got upgraded to a suite due to Hilton Honors status. My room faced the street rather than the freeway and I had no noise problems. The room was clean and the Hampton Inn breakfast was acceptable. There is a Carl's Jr. next door to the hotel for fast food. more
