We were greeted by a cordial, but not necessarily friendly counter representative, The remainder of the staff, from cleaning personnel, to breakfast room workers, were uniformly friendly. The furnishings were of good quality, the bed was very comfortable, and the room could not have been any cleaner, as also appeared the rest of the facility, I probably value this aspect... More

We had several rooms here for a wedding party. Everyone had a great time. The breakfast room was well supplied with the usual Holiday Inn Express breakfast. There were a ton of people so it was surprising they kept it so well supplied. The rooms here are really nice. WiFi was not a problem. The bedding was comfy. The pool... More

We stayed at this hotel recently for two nights. Wish we would have stayed an extra night. The immaculately clean queen double beds had larger than mini frig microwave and flat screen TV along with a sitting area with couch that pulls out into a bed and desk and chair if you need to get work done. The bathroom was... More

We chose this hotel because it was affordable and near Santa Barbara. It was about 15 minutes away. The hotel is fairly modern appearing. Clean and quiet. On the website the rooms has different suites descriptions. In reality, the rooms are not suites. They're basically regular rooms with a sofa in it. So definitely do not expect to be staying... Our family was camping at the Carpinteria State Beach and we went up to visit for the weekend. We were very please with our accommodations. The rooms were large and comfortable and easy to access. We were close to the main street and could enjoy the many restaurants or shops in the town. Assorted breakfast items were available in the... More

Stayed 2 nights here with my parents. It is very near the freeway and walking distance to many of the shops, bars, and restaurants in the area. It is next to the freeway and depending on your sensitivity, you may hear some traffic noise. I did not hear any during my stay. The loudest outside noise were some kids playing... More

My wife and I walked from Ventura along the coast and stayed at the Holiday Inn in Carpinteria and were very happy we stayed there. The staff at the front desk were very freindly and helpful. Room was nice and clean and ours faced to the north parking lot, which was fairly quite. Breakfast was included and not bad. Cheese... More

We stayed at the Holiday Inn and found it to be central to all that is to be seen. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Tar Pits and the Seal Rookery. Our room was very quite, clean and spacious. The front counter staff were a pleasure to deal with and informative regarding local sights and activities.

This hotel was recpmmended by a friend. We were very pleased. Even the breakfast was decent with good coffee, Chobani yogurt, interesting pancake machine and cinnamon rolls. Room was great! Service fine though bathroom cleaning chemicals smell very strong. Well run. Ask for a room away from the side exit door. It slams horribly when latecomers enter late at night.... More

Booked thru AMEX travel and used points. Drove up from Orange County to Monterey/Carmel and wanted to get a head start and avoid driving thru metro LA during AM rush hour, so needed a place to stay late evening. Very close to the freeway which is a pro and con. The con being that our room was in the back... More
