Stayed the night for a graduation @ UCSB. The room my wife and I had was small and reminiscent of a small RV complete with vinyl floors, a vinyl built in seat and and what appears to be a fold out table. It boast wifi (approx 3$ per day) and a flat screen and it's clear how they saved the... more

We have been staying at this Motel 6 for several years when we come to Carp. We always stay here because of the price and the location to the beach and downtown Carp. This trip, I was not especially looking forward to staying here again but it was in the budget. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it has... more

This is the hotel we usually stay at when visiting relatives in the area. (We do NOT stay at the North Carpinteria Motel 6 location.) You can't beat the price for the location; it's close to Santa Barbara, where you'd pay a lot more for the equivalent, and it's very close to Carpinteria beaches where you can watch the dolphins... more

We were a little nervous to stay in this hotel, but we needed an inexpensive place that accepted dogs. Surprisingly, it was perfectly acceptable - clean, nothing falling apart, not too loud (we had some mild partiers next door on our second night, but nothing extreme). Yes, they give you only two pillows, and the towels are pretty thin and... more

We booked 2 nights on the Motel 6 website, great price for this location. OK for a few nights, but I wouldn't want an extended stay here. The room had some water damage and mold issues on walls and ceilings, overwise the room was reasonably clean (no bugs). Sheets and Towels are very thin and scratchy. Bed was ok, bedspread... more

We came to Carpinteria for a wedding and ONLY stayed at this motel because the bride and groom sent out cards to guests, telling us they had a block of rooms reserved at a discounted rate. When I made the initial reservation, I was asked for the Group Name and Number, which I gave to them. So far, so good,... more

I just stayed here two nights and I think it was a really good deal. The room was adequate - no fridge, no hairdryer, but clean and the beds were comfortable. The coffee they serve in the morning is just "OK" but its enough to get you going until you can fill up at the Starbucks that is one block... more

Based on the mixed reviews i had some trepidation about staying at this motel. It is very plain. no pictures on the walls, no coffee maker, tiny towels you get the picture. It is very clean. What really convinced me it was a good deal is that every time i asked the desk to have some small item repaired it... more

I just got back from Motel 6 in Carpinteria. Although it is a "no frills" motel, it was certainly clean and comfortable. The motel is located in a tiny beautiful beach area and convenient to a Santa Barbara and Solvang. As for traffic, it is just off the highway, but I thought it was very quiet. If you're just looking... more

My wife and I were goint to attend a wedding in SAnta Barbara and money was a bit tight for us so we decided to spend a night in this area at this establishment. How bad could it be?...I asked myself, this is Carpenteria, a wonderful beach community. I'll say this much, you do get what you pay for. When... more
