I have stayed at this motel MANY times ever since 1995 and any request or recommendation I have made has been acknowledged and acted upon. I plan to stay at this motel in the future. Management and employees have been very courteous. more

I've been a long time customer of Motel 6 (so I know not to expect much) and will no longer be staying at them. The generic form letter they sent me after I made a complaint (about BLACK MOLD) was insulting and my complaints weren't taken seriously. I stayed at a Best Western the day after this and was very... more

I can go to the little town of Lone Pine California and stay at the Dow Villa for around $80.00 a night with a wide screen Vizio TV, DVD player, great lamps, great furniture, ice bucket, beautiful bedding, pool, jacuzzi rooms, coffee maker, refrigerator, ice machine, good soap ,shampoo, lotion, conditioner. Cloth for the car window and wonderful towels. I paid... more

We had stayed up the street a week earlier at Best Western. A fine hotel, but a bit pricey. Quite unexpected we ended up in Carpinteria again a week later and decided to save some bucks. The rooms here at Motel 6 are good value, I'd say. We only paid 80 dollars for a room that was big, with a... more

If i knew how lame my stay here would have been, i would have shoveled up the extra money to stay down the street at best western! best western looked like a resort in comparison! lush greenery, and balcony rooms...*sigh* and they only had a room that faced the freeway, so it was noisy. OH and im pretty sure they... more

One of the worst motel stays of my life....the room didn't even have a box of Kleenex.....I realized this as I was crying after a night of no sleep due to the loud "climate control" system (really just a fan that can be switched from hot to cold) and constant freeway noise. The rooms looked like they haven't been redecorated... more

The motel 6 is a normal motel next to Santa Barbara. It is situated on the higway No. 1. The service was ok, nonthing special, there was a laundry in the motel so we could wash our clothes. The room was ok, it was clean and there was a big tv in it. We had a non-smoking room. I would... more

Jul 29, 2008 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Some friends and I planned a weekend trip in Santa Barbara and decided to save some money by getting rooms at the Motel 6 in Carp. We booked our rooms well in advance and requested two non smoking adjoined rooms. Unfortunately, due to a full house, they were unable to accommodate our requests. That was a disappointment, but not a... more

We had stayed at the Motel 6 Carpinteria South last year. It was fine--nothing special, but it was clean and served its purpose. This time that Motel 6 South was booked so I made one at the North location. What a waste of money($75!)! We live in Los Angeles and were meeting a friend for dinner in Santa Barbara. We... more

We stay here and I thought it was going to be better then a mom and pops motel. These rooms have no iron, no microwave in the lobby, the non-smoking room we stay at smell like someone has been smoking, and no A/C. more
