We were attending a party in the hills nearby and wanted to stay in Carmel Valley instead of Carmel. I actually selected this place because the price was right and they graciously allowed us to book just one night....Saturday night...instead of the usual 2 or 3-day minimum this time of year. Place appeared to be very tranquil; receptionist greeted us... More

We hadn't stayed at the Quail Lodge for a few years, but were delighted to find it as charming and beautiful as ever...friendly helpful staff were a real plus, and the gorgeous grounds and gardens are a lovely reminder of why we love Carmel Valley! The room was terrific...and the visit over all too quickly!

Carmel Valley Ranch we have been going for several years now. It is very magestic and the atmosphere and charm is all right there. The dining room is great, the rooms large lovely and well appointed/ Our dogs get greeted cheerfully and with love. It is one of our favorite places in California. We are from California.

We were attending a wedding in Carmel Valley and the wedding party took the whole motel as it was right across the street from the wedding venue. I've seen a fair number of negative reviews of this place so our expectations were fairly low. We were warmly greeted when we checked in and our room we a bit on the... More

The area is very supportive of such a resort. With many of the amenities suitable for family (pool, golf, walking trails, food) you would wish you could stay just a bit longer to drive through the canyons of big sur and surrounding areas. I took stunning photos which seemingly represented the coastal parts but I did not take many photos... More

My partner and I were traveling to visit Carmel/Monterey CA. Hotels were ridiculously expensive near Carme-By-The-Sea, so we explored Carmel Valley. (It's about a 20 minute beautiful drive to the ocean). This hotel was recently purchased by an owner who intends to transform it into a Wellness Center. It's off to a good start. Beautiful location. Comfortable/ quiet rooms. Affordable... More

The receptionist was very rude, not acknowledging us when we arrived and staying on the phone for over 15 minutes without checking us in. The first floor rooms are low-ceilinged, and should cost much less than the second-floor rooms, but they don't. We were told that the second floor rooms were "much nicer" but that people who booked earlier were... More

A very nice stay in Carmel Valley. Nice hotel and generous rooms. Bathrooms need an update and room was dirty when we checked in. I thought that was the standard but the next day the room was spotless so they must have forgotten to clean the room prior to check in. I`d stay here again. Eat breakfast elsewhere as the... More

The Carmel Valley Lodge has recently changed hands with the new owners placing a different emphasis on serving guests. One example is that they serve an absolutely delicious Vegan high protein breakfast instead of the usual waffles or biscuits. My room had two beds only rather than the normal arrangement of two beds in one room, this offered a second... More

My husband and I stayed one night. We stayed due a discount site and didn't know what to expect with the iffy reviews. The lobby area is very quaint and relaxing and the front desk service was good. Upon walking to the room though you had to step around huge piles of wrecking materials. The room itself was very nice... More
