Great location for escaping the fog and soaking up the valley sun by the pool (with a view of the mountains). Rustic and retro, but who wants to hang out in their room when there is so much to see and do in the area!

Pleasant setting but the rooms are motel basic. You have to drive at least 15 minutes to get to Carmel or Point Lobos. Although the staff is very friendly and helpful, don't expect to be pampered in anyway.

We spent our wedding night at Blue Sky 50 years ago and while much has changed the atmosphere certainly has not. This is a charming get away where one can be above it all. However, it is not for those who may need constant care and exaggerated creature comforts.

We recently booked a mid week 2 night stay here...yes, the pet fees are high (20 bucks a night for EACH dog per night !) and the room left a lot to be desired BUT the friendly staff made up for it. We lost our car keys and were unable to leave at check out time. We were offered the... More

I could get past the hospital green walls and completely dated, tired and ugly 'decor' because the setting was pleasant. But I could not get over the fact that the only heat source was from a heater that seemed to date from the 1950's and had 2 settings: on and off. I was there for 3 nights and spent most... More

We strive to ensure our patrons experience with the best visit possible during their travels and we are sorry we fell short of our goal this time. There are two heating sources in the patio rooms and we should have called to see how everything was with your stay. We would have been more than happy to help resolve the... More

The rooms don't even have temp control. If u turn on the heat it ll keep going on. Shower was old and flimsy Bath products were weird and sparse There was no feeling of abundance It was very basic All this would b ok depending on your purpose BUT not at $280 a night.

Cute & quaint room in nature. Staying here was like staying at my grandma's house... totally a cozy environment that just felt "homey". The room was small but had a large private patio space that I wish we could've taken advantage of during our short stay. The owner was really nice and welcoming. The location was not far from the... This place is charming in the old, quaint Carmel Valley way, that I remember from growing up there in the 50's and 60's. It is Fun In The Sun kind of place. As I was checking out, I spoke with the owner, the place is for sale and is currently in escrow. That explains why nothing has been done in many... More

This is a trip back to the 50"s. Have been here a few times. The place is old fashioned in a good way. It is a nice place to relax. Pets are welcome. The best value in the area since rooms go for over $300.00 elsewhere. Next time we go, we will stay longer. Could have used a week to... More

Our family of 6 had 3 rooms here for a wedding. Rooms were quite dated but very clean and comfortable and you couldn't beat the location. We walked down the slight hill to have breakfast and to wine tastings! And very close to the wedding venue at The Gardner Ranch. We were very glad to have stayed at Blue Sky... More
