I could get past the hospital green walls and completely dated, tired and ugly 'decor' because the setting was pleasant. But I could not get over the fact that the only heat source was from a heater that seemed to date from the 1950's and had 2 settings: on and off. I was there for 3 nights and spent most... More

We strive to ensure our patrons experience with the best visit possible during their travels and we are sorry we fell short of our goal this time. There are two heating sources in the patio rooms and we should have called to see how everything was with your stay. We would have been more than happy to help resolve the... More

The rooms don't even have temp control. If u turn on the heat it ll keep going on. Shower was old and flimsy Bath products were weird and sparse There was no feeling of abundance It was very basic All this would b ok depending on your purpose BUT not at $280 a night.

Cute & quaint room in nature. Staying here was like staying at my grandma's house... totally a cozy environment that just felt "homey". The room was small but had a large private patio space that I wish we could've taken advantage of during our short stay. The owner was really nice and welcoming. The location was not far from the... This place is charming in the old, quaint Carmel Valley way, that I remember from growing up there in the 50's and 60's. It is Fun In The Sun kind of place. As I was checking out, I spoke with the owner, the place is for sale and is currently in escrow. That explains why nothing has been done in many... More

This is a trip back to the 50"s. Have been here a few times. The place is old fashioned in a good way. It is a nice place to relax. Pets are welcome. The best value in the area since rooms go for over $300.00 elsewhere. Next time we go, we will stay longer. Could have used a week to... More

Our family of 6 had 3 rooms here for a wedding. Rooms were quite dated but very clean and comfortable and you couldn't beat the location. We walked down the slight hill to have breakfast and to wine tastings! And very close to the wedding venue at The Gardner Ranch. We were very glad to have stayed at Blue Sky... More

We stayed 3 nights and would happily have stayed another week. This is old style comfort and hospitality. It is immaculately clean, quiet and comfortable. A bit like a dream of 1950s but with WiFi. There are good restaurants, coffee shops and delis. The Mexican restaurant across the road is excellent and good value with a big deck in the... More

Stayed here recently for a wedding and really enjoyed the place. While we only had two nights, I really could have used a week here. Tranquil setting and a wonderful little town to explore. I spent a few hours hanging out in the pool and hot tub and lounging on the lawn. The owner and staff are very friendly and... More

My brother suggested this little motel as it's close to the Tassajara Zen Center's pick-up location, just 30 minutes down Carmel Valley Road, outside of town. The motel has been owned by the same family for generations. The guest room was clean and neat. The beds were very good. It's a little rustic, but the staff are charming and accommodating.... More

If you are looking for a peaceful, retro-retreat. Look no further. If you are looking for glam and glitz, keep looking. These are comfortable rooms in a quiet setting, that have the feel of a 50's hotel. Very nice grounds with pool and hot tub, as well as a friendly (sometimes) cat at check-in. Very nice proprietors. Rooms comfortably sized.... More
