We chose the Los Laureles Lodge for its proximity to family we were visiting....and we wanted to take our sweet older dog with us...The Lodge, which was the former thoroughbred stables for a Vanderbilt kin, is gracious about pets, charming in its historic ranch motif, and casually inviting. Our room, totally reminiscent of a ranch bunk house, was very clean... More

My son and his wife chose this place for their wedding and so we rented a room for 2 nights. We used the room to leave our belongings to get ready for the wedding but did not stay the night. The place is nice and the room is clean. It's got the rustic atmosphere. They offer continental breakfast but did... More

A wonderful surprise in the hills of Carmel valley. The rooms are clean and efficient. The outdoor firepit is a great place to sit with a glass of wine after a long day. The pool and pool bar are perfect and don't forget to order a mangler or strangler.. The bartenders were great and the hotel front desk staff very... More

We have stayed here twice now - it's inexpensive and in a wonderful location just a short drive from Carmel Valley Village with its excellent restaurants and winery tasting rooms. The lodge is a former ranch; the restaurant is in what was the main home and the rooms are in various outbuildings around the property. Overall, the property is beautiful... More

Don't be mislead my some of the reviews. The Los Laureles Lodge, is quaint, clean and really a pleasant place to stay. Rooms were cute & clean, staff was very polite, breakfast was more than adequate, waffles, sliced fresh fruit, home baked muffins, the "granola" is made from scratch and is quite good! Granted the pool is used by the... More

After spending the day in Carmel, Carmel-By-The-Sea, and Monterey I enjoyed the relative tranquility of Carmel Valley. Los Laureles is an historic lodge and that means not all the amenities of a modern 5-star hotel. If you want that experience then go back to Carmel or Monterey. The rooms are clean, medium-size, with updated bathrooms. There is a smell of... More

I was greatly looking forward to staying at this location for a friend's wedding and had to cancel a few days prior due to a death in the family. When I called to explain my situation, they wouldn't refund my deposit unless they could fill my room. I called back a few days later to see if there was any... More

I grew up in Carmel Valley and still have family there. Patty and I just stayed at Los Laureles in connection with a 50th high school reunion event--my first stay at the Lodge since 1971. It's important to understand that this is an older facility. The hotel website starts its history with a 1915 acquisition by the Pacific Improvement Company,... More

The place looks like an old ranch! The rooms are nothing special, but the hospitality at the front desk and at the restaurant is killer! Continental breakfast of homemade muffins and granola, nice big selection of fresh fruit and coffee from 7:30 to 10:30 am. They are even kind enough to supply coffee to-go cups to take back to your... More

We came up or the weekend with 14 corvettes...28 people. Spent the morning doing the 17mile,drive. Can you imagine our surprise and disappointment when we returned. No parking and a pool packed with people. . When we asked, we were told they open the pool to the public for a day charge from 1-5. Here we are paying guests and... More
