Paper thin walls. I could hear the people next door breathing, doors opening and closing, bathroom noises (peeing) during the night. I guess I am not use to the Inn experiance. We stayed here one night and would have slept better on the beach in a tent. Our first impression was good, the lobby is clean and quaint the setting... more

This place was a disappointment! We paid $300 a night for a larger room. First off they only have four or five parking spaces available for the entire facility. We were told we had to find street parking, which took many circles around the block. The front desk person was not at all familiar with the area or could even... more

Our recent stay here was part of a 10-day California trip to celebrate our 30th wedding avnniversary. It was a repeat visit and we were treated very well - surprise ice bucket with champagne on our first night. We especially enjoy parking the car and walking everywhere, evening wine at the inn and local dining without worrying about drinking and... more

We stayed in a small double room with fireplace at the Cobblestone Inn. The fireplace was a really nice touch and I would be sure my room had one again. The room itself was a tad small, but was nicely appointed. Bath and Body Works amenities, sodas in the fridge, robes, great bedding. The bath, however, needs some work. It... more

Upon arriving this inn has curb appeal as there are hanging baskets of flowers on the upstairs balcony and it looked to have been renovated within the last five years or so. They call it The Cobblestone Inn because of all the river rocks that have been attached to the structure. It's quiet charming. Our room was one of the... more

We believe this review is from a stay before the new ownership took over in April of 2008. We are no longer a Four Sisters Inn and we do not keep empty vases on the mantles. We now serve a choice selection of white and red wine.

My husband and I just got back from a 2 day/1 night trip down to Carmel. We found this property thru TripAdvisor and weren't disappointed. The location is an easy walk to town and the pricing is fair for Carmel - especially given all the nice features. We stayed in room 27 - which is a big room with king... more

We booked this property months before our scheduled visit - as we remembered fondly a very romantic stay some years before when it was one of the Four Sisters chain - large room with king bed, fireplace, teddy bear on the bed, sherry and afternoon snacks, lovely breakfast, etc. When we arrived for this visit we were shown to a... more

As of April 1, 2008, the Cobblestone Inn has been under new management. The inn was sold and it is no longer managed by Four Sisters. Very little has changed in terms of the guest amenities and services provided. The inn still provides a full gourmet breakfast, homemade cookies, afternoon wine and hors d'oeuvre, and real sherry in the evenings....

This place was a delight. The staff was wonderful and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was more comfortable than mine at home and we loved having a fireplace! It is conveniently located and the garden is great- I wish we had taken the time to have a cup of tea on the patio. I would highly... more

The location of the Cobblestone relative to Ocean Ave. is great. Everything is in walking distance. We had the only king suite, which is directly on busy Junipero Av. Unfortunately, this made for a noisy room with traffic starting before dawn. If you're an early riser, this won't bother you. We're not. The heater kicking off several time an hour... more

We found the Cobblestone Inn a delightful place to spend three nights. It is walking distance to downtown Carmel and the beach, has a tasty breakfast with eggs done in a variety of ways, and has rooms that are comfortable, if somewhat small. The only negative i can think of is that parking for most guests is on the street,... more
