The Carmel Valley Ranch is fantastic. The rooms were beautiful, the service was great and the prices were so low I thought they made a mistake on my bill. It is less than 20 minutes from downtown Carmel tucked into the hills in a setting that will make you want to sell your home and move in. Don't stay any... more

This is, without a doubt, the nicest place I've ever stayed. Everything was simply perfect! The resort grounds are breathtaking and sitting outside on the balcony looking up at the clear sky at night was the height of relaxation. The service was unbeatable. The room was spacious and so comfortable! We treated ourselves to an in-room couples massage, which was... more

The drive through the grounds of this hotel was very nice. We saw deer and other wildlife every day. Our room was nice, a little outdated but it wasn't bad. It was nice to have a wood burning fireplace in the room. more

Stayed here for 2 days for our anniversary and had a great time. The rooms are huge (stayed in Ranch Suite), nice wood-burning fireplace, deep soaking whirpool tub. Single-serve Keurig coffee/tea maker was a nice touch. The rooms and furnishings might be a little dated as others mentioned but it really didn't affect us at all, the bed and bedding... more

We ended up cancelling a booking we made at a hotel that turned out to be horrible, and turned up here instead - we were so lucky! Very inexpensive, the most incredible surroundings, a HUGE house, very clean, a gated estate, and very friendly staff. We stayed in 177 which had a living room, huge bathroom, walk-in closet, and enormous... more

The Ranch was amazing - set in a beautiful valley. The service from all staff was outstanding. The room - we had a Ranch suite I believe - beautiful rooms and bathroom with real wood fire in the bedroom. Unfortunately we were only there 1 night whilst driving through on a road trip. My husband and I are already planning... more

From the moment you arrive you are treated like a VIP. Everyone from the gardner to the check-in desk greats you with a friendly hello. Our room was huge with a cozy fireplace in the bedroom and a great balcony view of the golf course. The pool and bar area was also very nice and there is a firepit to... more

Been to Carmel and C Valley several times, but first time at CVR. We had a great time. This place is a terrific value. We had a huge suite with a spectacular view for only $129/night ("winter rates" = perfect weather). Service was top notch at all parts of the resort. Stayed 3 nights and regret not staying longer. Deer... more

Read some of the reviews on here before booking and thought I was going to be ok. Even toured their website and felt comfortable. HUGE disappointment. The lobby was ok, nothing great. The rooms and condition of the exterior of the buildings was the problem. They looked like old condo buildings built in the 70's and haven't been repainted in... more

From Check in to Check out the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We used the wood burning fireplace every day we were there. Very romantic and beautiful views of the valley and mountains. more
