Came for overnight stay to see Carmel, Montererrey, 17-mile drive + more. Hotel exceeded expectations with fresh interior, nice staff and heated pool which the the kids loved. Room were good, and affordable. Breakfast nice and fresh. 30 min walk / 5 min drive to center of Carmel village / beach.

We spent a few days at the Carmel Mission Inn with our two grandsons. They had a wonderful time swimming in the pool while we enjoyed the hot tub. Our room was very spacious, clean and nicely appointed. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the selections plentiful. We will stay here every time we travel to Carmel.

When I walked into the lobby, I thought, "Huh. this is even nicer than I thought." Then I went to the rooms and thought, "If these were only as nice as the lobby!" Don't get me wrong - it was clean and the location is very convenient. It isn't bad, but I thought there was a bit of a disconnect... More

My family and I drove up from LA and due to weather issues we needed a quick stop to sleep for the night. The staff at the hotel calmed me down without a problem and ensured that they have a room for us at a reasonable rate. We walked into their restaurant 1/2 hour before they closed and were more... We stayed at the Carmel Mission Inn for a week photographing the Big Sur coast. It is located behind a Chevron Gas Station on Rio Rd. On leaving take a left at Cal 1 (1/2 block) and within a mile you are on the coast to explore the many state parks along the Big Sur. The rooms were clean and... More

This accommodation was booked for us and going by the name we were looking forward to a quaint, even historic, building to spend the night in. Imagine our surprise to find we were staying in a rectangular, modern block, ("block" being the operative word) behind a gas station on a busy intersection. Oh dear. However, once over the shock, we... More

On a whim we decided to go to Carmel/Monterey before we toured San Francisco. Carmel is just a wonderful little town and the Inn was perfect for us. SF was nice but Carmel and Big Sur were our best memories.

Been here before but was less impressed this time. Caught a great jazz group at night. Ordered apps and wine. The artichoke app is delicious although very messy. The garden burger was excellent and the fries were wonderful! The staff service was distracted and not very good. Breakfast granola and soy milk, yum! It was be lovely to see more... More

This is truly one awesome place. Not just because of the price, but because of the service and attention that is spent on making one feel comfortable and right at home. We had a spacious room, king size bed (very comfy), clean throughout, and with very minimal noise factor. Nice lounge that offers music and dance if you wish, a... More

This hotel is not in the most fashionable high rent district, but having said that they do a fine job of inn-keeping. We had a deluxe king and it was a fine experience and a good value. We had other activities and so did not use the beautiful pool or eat in the restaurant and so can't comment on that.... More
