Carmel is a little gem, but not cheap. We paid 99 dollars for a room here. I certainly wouldn't call this value compared to Motel 6, but maybe it's value for Carmel. The reception is OK, but it goes a bit downhill from there. We avoided the lift except when carrying luggage. The rooms are small and sweaty, with low... more

The weather was 80 degrees on Carmel Beach. The food at Abalonetti was incredible. (try the squid combination). But................. The new and improved Carmel Mission Inn Exceed our expectations by a long shot. The rooms were decorated great and very high-end. The bathrooms 1st class. The grounds / firepits / foliage made it fabulous to just hang out and drink... more

We stayed her after 5 days in San Francisco and before furthers stops in Santa Barabara & LA. From reading TripAdvisor reviews, it was the one place that we had some apprehension over but that was soon put to rest. Prompt check in though I could see what some had earlier referred to with regards concerns here. Didn't bother us... more

I picked the Carmel Mission Inn because it ranks well on TripAdvisor, and the rates seem to be some of the best in very expensive Carmel. As an international traveler, I am almost always pleased with the American Hotels. And this was no exception. The inn is very well located and I quite enjoyed both the hotel and the town.... more

The hotel is directly opposite a shopping centre in Carmel Valley. Which is nice if you want to go shopping. If you want to visit Carmel you need to go by car. This is ok, but you need a designated driver if you want to go for dinner. If you stay at the hotel we would recommend the pizza place... more

Stayed one night. Room had a lovely blue glow in it. Plenty of parking and the wireless internet was easy to set up. Good breakfast but you need to book it in advance to get two for $10. Otherwise its $12.50 each. Its not actually located in the main seeside Carmel but is about a 10 minute drive away. more

The food is forgetable, including happy hour. The hotel itself could be quite nice if only things were a little better organized. Returning guests are still strangers. The location really saves it and the fact that there are several good eating places nearby. Why they keep charging the prices they do I can only figure that the tour busses must... more

Very comfortable hotel although double room a little crowded for 4. Small pool. Fantastic breakfast, highly recommended. The Mission Inn is out of Carmel the centre of Carmel, which is a good thing as it is quite quiet and peaceful. more

We were looking for a hotel along the Pacific Coast Highway near Big Sur, but everything was booked. The sun was setting quickly and we didn't want to get stuck along the PCH driving through the high cliffs at night, so we ended up in Carmel/Monterrey as the first lodging area that our GPS guided us through. We saw the... more
