Our room had a lovely view of Carmel Bay and was in a good location close to shops and restaurants. Comfortable room and good value for this expensive town. I could not fault the hotel and would stay here again.

This hotel is in the middle of it all. The rooms on the 5th floor have sea views and have been redone to include a gas fireplace. The bathrooms which are new are a bit small but clean and new. Next door is Bruno's - a stop n shop with fresh sandwiches and beer/ wine. The location is great, very... More

The Carmel Bay View is conveniently located at the edge of of the charming shopping/gallery area of Carmel by the Sea. Perched on the side of a hill, it has easy parking, an elevator, and a variety of accommodations. The musty smell as soon as I opened the door was distressing but I opened the windows and left them open... More

The place is good value for Carmel as this place is expensive central, but it is a great little village that I will visit again. The views from the floor are suppost to be good, and you would only get noise from the rooms next to you. The main downside with the place is very thin walls, someone sneezed in... More

We stayed here on a trip up the coast and "splurged" on an ocean view room- glad we did! We were on the top floor and had a great view of the bay. The room was clean and good-sized, had a mini fridge, but had no safe. Was in a great location, close to all the shops and restaurants but... More

Although we've stayed at this motel several times over the past 10 years, it gets worse every year. Although the rates are fairly reasonable for Carmel, the rooms are showing their age. Our TV didn't work, there were no matches to light the fireplace, and only bare amenities. We'll stay elsewhere next trip.

You can walk to everything in Carmel from this hotel in about 5 min. There is a small store next to the hotel (I think it is the only one in town) for beer, wine, snacks, food and sandwiches... They have free parking, an elevator and free internet. The wireless internet in our room didn't work that great and we were... More

This hotel EXCEEDED my expectations. The room was immaculate. It looked as though NO ONE had EVER stayed in it. The fireplace was an exciting unexpected bonus. There was a little market next door full of goodies. We were quoted a price over the phone, and when we got there, the price dropped by 30 dollars! I strongly suggest that... More

Stayed at a busy time of year so slim pickin's on a value room. This is a cut above the other Best Western in town and close to restaurants and the main drag, but our room was quiet and comfortable. An older property that I'm sure has been remodeled more than once. Staff was friendly and there's a good store/deli... More

Location is great, right on the edge of downtown, close to the park and a little deli-market next door. Room is average, fireplace a nice touch for atmosphere, not sure its helps when its cold. Staff was very friendly and professional. We were next to pool with was noisy. Street sweepers started before 6 in the morning on the monday... More
