Stayed in room 22 for two nights. Adequate size with a very comfortable bed and a fireplace but the bathroom was a little small although nice. The included continental breakfast was nicely done. There is a great little market right next door that has everything you might need and a little further away is a sundry store. Overall a very... more

I tried to make a reservation on my I-phone and had difficulty so I finally gave up and called to make the reservation. On line the room was $107, imagine my surprise when we got there and the room was $190+ tax. At least they gave us a AAA discount that brought us down to $190 again. In fairness, Francisco... more

I was impressed, it isn't fancy, but someone has put a lot of time, thought, and attention into this place. One thing, and it's funny because it isn't hard but so few places go to the trouble, the landscaping, there are flowers everywhere: pots, window boxes, beds, any place they can find to stick flowers they do it and I... more

We stayed at this BW as part of a cross country road trip that included the Big Sur/Monterey area, and I was sooooo pleasantly surprised! This seriously must be the nicest best western on earth. It was located right in town within walking distance to the beach, many restraunts/bars, and shopping. The rooms appeared to be recently remodeled as the... more

Best Western needs to take Customer Service 101. I made a reservation for May 23rd directly with this inn on the phone about 6 weeks prior to my arrival. On the scheduled arrival date, we arrived shortly after 9 pm after driving five grueling hours amidst narrow winding mountain roads, only to be told that they had us reserved for... more

We spent two nights at this hotel while exploring the Carmel/ Monterrey area. The location couldn't be better, the room was nice , very clean and had a fireplace that would be nice in a cooler season. We booked ahead and received a very good $99 AAA rate even on a Saturday night. The breakfast was minimal but adequate, What... more

Stayed here once before in a "hilltop" room above and to back of motel and I thought it was really good. This time I got stuck in a cramped room on the ground floor of the main building. It had a noisey ceiling fan, a lumpy bed and the room looked like it had not been updated in 30 years.... more

I have stayed at this hotel twice. Once for a weekend on vacation and then again for a week on business in nearby Monterey. The rooms are adequate and service is decent for what is basically a motel, but the secret is that some of the rooms have remarkable ocean views. Others totally suck. Get one of the view rooms... more

Best Western Carmel Bay View Inn was very clean and cozy within walking distance of wonderful restaurants and shops. The gas fireplace added to the comfortability. The value of this hotel is unbelievable! more

This establishment is our "home away from home." We thoroughly enjoyed staying there while visiting family in the area. The Continental Breakfast is wonderful. Everything from the Front Office check in to checkout is never a disappointment. The General Manager is always smiling and very nice. Plus, being so centralized is another PLUS! more
