My husband and I stayed here in July and did have a wonderful time. I even wrote a review here on trip advisor about our wonderful experience. [Please see review of July 19th] However, something has now happened regarding this property that has left a very sour taste in my mouth. Last night, we decided we'd like to stay here... More

I am not sure now this non glowing review slipped through without us responding to it 5 years ago in 2007, so I'm not sure of all the details, however, I do know that in 2007 we did not have actual online booking as we do now that technology had progressed and become more secure, but we did have an... It was my first stay at the Carmel Country Inn but not my last! We pulled up after a long drive and they took it from there. Spacious rooms with fireplaces, luxury baths, spectacular location, in the heart of Carmel, blocks from shopping, restaurants and the beach. Most of all my dog was treated like a prince! Very quaint and... More

this cute, quiet B&B has a nice location (quick walk to downtown, slightly longer to the beach) and well-appointed rooms but consider it a cozy getaway rather than any lap of luxury. We stayed in the junior suite which had both a stall shower and large tub. Room was large and had all the basics. The morning breakfast and afternoon... More

We arrived at the Inn around 5:30 pm....after a long drive from Los Angeles. We were greeted as if arriving at a good friend's house. We were meeting our friends at the Inn who were driving in from San Francisco. They brought their dog Sadie with them. Sadie was greeted as well as if she were a human! We were... More

This was my fourth time to stay at the Inn and it did not disappoint. Of course it goes without saying that the Monterey/Carmel area is lovely and has so much to offer the vacationer. One thing I love about this inn is their two bedroom suites. It is rare to find a place that offers two separate bedrooms and... More

The Carmel Country Inn is a charming place that allows you to feel special and well taken care of. I must admit that I enjoyed the place immensely!! Their website is very accurate. I enjoyed the cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness of everyone in the office and the magic of Carmel itself. I have been to Carmel many years... More

On the advice of the Tripadvisor reviews we tried this Inn. Our experience was not fabulous or even great. It was ok. Maybe. The cat was nice! First of all, the Innkeeper Merle was completely unfriendly and unwelcoming. I had ordered a cake because it was our anniversary, and the cake was in our room but zero mention of the... More

Bed and Breakfast lodging is always something of a gamble because you are never sure what you are going to get. The pictures on a web site can be misleading. After reading the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor, my wife and I decided to spend a long weekend at the Carmel Country Inn. We couldn't have been more pleased. The... More

I booked a weekend for 4 of us after reading all the positive reviews on this site - and glad I did! We are two couples who travel together a lot - this small Carmel inn was perfect for us. From the greeting when we arrived through the check-out process, the whole experience was perfect. To repeat what others have... More

This was our first stay at Carmel Country Inn, a decision based solely upon the high rating given on Trip Advisor. We weren't disappointed. Our stay was great. We stayed for three nights in a King Suite and returned four nights later staying in a Two Bedroom, One Bath Suite. Each accomodation was so very nice. Clean, charming and comfortable.... More
