Everyone was friendly. The new Luxury King Suite was fantastic. I really enjoyed the whirlpool tub, fireplace, and plasma tv. No complaints! We traveled to Big Sur and Carmel Valley on day trips and watched the sunset on Carmel beach in the evenings. It is hard to choose were to eat with all the great restaurants within walking distance.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here, in the two bedroom / one bath suite, but there were some problems. No wireless access from our room was a bummer, but the laptop worked fine in the community room. Our dvd played did not work, but a new one was brought over (yet the receptionist was clueless on how to hook it... More

Since we would be traveling to Carmel with our daughters on their spring break from college, we booked the two-bedroom, two-bath suite. All of us loved the inn! The suite had a separate living area with a fireplace that we used daily and gave us all plenty of room to relax, read, watch a movie from the inn's collection on... More

Room really suited our needs traveling with young children having 2 bedrooms and a separate living room. The staff, however, was very variable - from exceptional to the worst I've ever encountered in the hospitality industry (I travel extensively). I won't be going back.

While we can not legally turn away families with small children, we do reserve the right to refuse service or comment on children's behavior, or any guest's behavior that may disrupt other guests. We strongly discourage children under the age of 6 years old, (as clearly mentioned on our website) and encourage parents to be respectful of other guests here... More

Having been to Carmel on many occasions, we've always wanted to try a different B & B location on each trip. However, now that we've stayed at the Carmel Country Inn, we're not sure we want to continue to do that! Our experience at the the Carmel Country Inn was wonderful! A great staff (innkeeper Amy and all the staff... More

My husband and I stayed here in July and did have a wonderful time. I even wrote a review here on trip advisor about our wonderful experience. [Please see review of July 19th] However, something has now happened regarding this property that has left a very sour taste in my mouth. Last night, we decided we'd like to stay here... More

I am not sure now this non glowing review slipped through without us responding to it 5 years ago in 2007, so I'm not sure of all the details, however, I do know that in 2007 we did not have actual online booking as we do now that technology had progressed and become more secure, but we did have an... It was my first stay at the Carmel Country Inn but not my last! We pulled up after a long drive and they took it from there. Spacious rooms with fireplaces, luxury baths, spectacular location, in the heart of Carmel, blocks from shopping, restaurants and the beach. Most of all my dog was treated like a prince! Very quaint and... More

this cute, quiet B&B has a nice location (quick walk to downtown, slightly longer to the beach) and well-appointed rooms but consider it a cozy getaway rather than any lap of luxury. We stayed in the junior suite which had both a stall shower and large tub. Room was large and had all the basics. The morning breakfast and afternoon... More

We arrived at the Inn around 5:30 pm....after a long drive from Los Angeles. We were greeted as if arriving at a good friend's house. We were meeting our friends at the Inn who were driving in from San Francisco. They brought their dog Sadie with them. Sadie was greeted as well as if she were a human! We were... More

This was my fourth time to stay at the Inn and it did not disappoint. Of course it goes without saying that the Monterey/Carmel area is lovely and has so much to offer the vacationer. One thing I love about this inn is their two bedroom suites. It is rare to find a place that offers two separate bedrooms and... More
