Carmel and Carmel Country Inn provided us with a fantastic vacation. The Inn has a perfect location with many attractions including the beach all within walking distance. Our room was very comfortable especially when we turned the fireplace on to warm us up at night. The bathroom was huge with a great shower and whirlpool tub which felt great after... More

This was a nice place to stay in Carmel. The property is located within an easy walk of Ocean Avenue so a car is not required to browse the shops and restaurants. It is a bit of a hike to the beach, but an easy drive if you want to go. The place is not new, but does have charm.... More

I hesitate to give this place a "bad" review considering the numerous positive posts, but an experience is what it is. I initially booked a Deluxe King Suite (#10) for my wife and I for a weekend getaway. The Inn seems very popular as I had to book two months in advance (I booked in March) in order to get... More

I booked this place after reading about it on tripadvisor and was not disappointed. When I booked it only the smallest room was available. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a spacious room with a full bathroom and fireplace. A full breakfast is included in the rate. You can eat in the kitchen area by the... More

Carmel is full of small inns and few, if any large hotels. After price comparisons of many of the inns, we found Carmel Country Inn a very good value and the quiet location is a comfortable walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants. It is also an easy walk the other direction to the beach and waterfront. The check-in... More

My wife and I and our new 4 month old puppy stayed at the Carmel Country Inn for our 1 year anniversary. It doesn't have the same feel as other B&B's we've stayed at as it has more of an inn feel. The rooms are all accessed through individual doors rather than being in a central building. You must leave... More

I chose this inn because I wanted to spend a few days in Carmel with my Mother and my dog Brandi. We all loved staying at the Inn. They truly love having pets there and I felt right at home. I did hire a pet sitter that took good care of Brandi for a few hours while my Mom and... More

Booked a two bedroom, two bath suite(#8) based on the lovely website pictures and other comments on this site. Was very shocked to find a tired, dated motel upon arrival. The bedrooms did not have the baths connected. One was nice and the other was small and probably not touched in 25 years. Furniture was extremely well worn. The breakfast... More

We had such a wonderful stay in Carmel. The 2 bedroom suite was just perfect and the welcome our dog Mimi got was great. The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent. Everything was ready when we arrived and the Inn is close to everything. The list of pet sitters was very helpful and we made arraignments in advance for... More

Carmel is a beautiful city and R&R is definitely its strongpoint. After reviewing several of other people's stays through tripadvisor we decided to stay for 3 nights at the Carmel Country Inn. We planned our stay 2 months in advance for a late winter vacation, and I would recommend much earlier for high demand seasons. Check their "specials" section on... More
