My family recently stayed at the Forest Lodge in the combination of Dali/Westin rooms and had a wonderful time. The rooms are spotless, the staff is so welcoming and accommodating; especially Eliso who really took such great care of us; and the grounds are so pretty! We would highly recommend !

We were recommended the Garret Loft room at Forest Lodge as a perfect place to stay in Carmel especially when travelling with a child/teenager. This room runs the whole length of the loft and also has a wee annex with a single bed reminiscent of the Harry Potter cupboard but it's the 5 star version! The welcome at the main... More

Forest Lodge is in a busy area but it feels very private. The room was very clean. The landscape looked beautiful, I do landscape design in NY so that is something I pay close attention to. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay perfect.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Forest Lodge in Carmel and our experience was nothing short of wonderful. We did not have a reservation anywhere but in walking around downtown we came upon their sister lodge, The Lamp Lighter Inn. Peggy was at the front reception desk and although they did not have any rooms left she was... More

First visit to Carmel, with dog and friend. Extended stay extra night because of the beautiful and quiet surroundings, market/deli across the street, breakfast delivered, pleasant and efficient staff, comfotable accomodations, and easy walking distance to everything (Carmel Plaza across the street and every Friday there is a live band). For a mature woman who walks with a cane, the... More

Perfect location for exploring Carmel. Very gracious staff and quaint accommodations. We were glad we stayed at Forest Lodge because the location was quiet yet close enough to all the activity around all the beautiful shops and restaurants in Carmel. Would definitely return for another visit!

I was a tad underwhelmed by Forest Lodge. The location was great, as it was close to the restaurants and shops of downtown Carmel. It was quite a hike to the beach, though, and uphill on the way back. The layout of the cottages was very cute and lit up with lots of string lights at night, which I really... More

Let me begin by saying that I wanted to love this property. We were in the Garret Loft and the architectural detail was fantastic. The nook with the twin bed is amazing, so beautiful and charming. The bathroom has been remodeled with lots of vintage charm. The bathroom was clean and cute. I love the stained glass windows and small... More

We stayed here on several occasions with our 100lbs chocolate lab "puppy" and were always delighted. This is really an "overflow" sister property of the Lamplighter Inn, but we prefer it because of more space between cottages and more robust landscaping (and less concern that our lab may destroy something). The property is in walking distance to many dog-friendly restaurants,... More

We're glad you decided to stay with us again. The landscaping is one aspect of the Forest Lodge that makes it such a nice place to relax. The breakfast offered at the Lamp Lighter definitely has more of a variety than we are able to deliver. I'll speak with the manager in regards to the quantity of food provided in... More

We have just returned from a short visit to Carmel. Traveling with family and dog we had two rooms - Weston and Garden rooms. The Weston was spacious and well appointed with a nice, comfortable king bed. I had read the reviews here about how noise from other rooms carried into the Weston. I dismissed these comments as exaggerations. Wrong!... More
