We arrived at 9:40PM on a cold April Sunday night and it was a true delight entering our warm, cozy room. The city is very dark at night (no street lights whatsoever), so we almost missed the small entryway to the Coachman`s Inn. Once we parked our car, we noticed there wasn`t anybody in the office/reception and we were immediatelly... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and for staying with us all the way from Brazil! I do remember that evening and my apologies if I was a little sleepy. We did have the second set of keys for your room and waited to provide them for you downstairs but I think we had a miscommunication... More

First visit, excellent location , walking distance to everything. Parking is cramped but atleast it gets the guest off of the street. The second story room was very tidy and also very small .This two story lodge allows dogs , big and small so you might get some intermittant or continuous dog barking .That was our situation back in May... Thank you for your review! We are a dog friendly inn (many Carmel inns are pet friendly due to Carmel being one of the most pet friendly areas in the country). We are really sorry about the barking. We do have a dog in the managers office but it is a guide dog that is trained not to bark unless... More

We spent 2 nights at Coachman's Inn and were thrilled with the accommodations. We arrived late at the Inn and were greeted by Karen. We were upgraded to the two bed suite with a fireplace. What a wonderful surprise. The room was spotless and well furnished. The beds may have been the most comfortable I have ever had during a... More

We stayed at the Coachman's Inn this past weekend and really enjoyed it! I booked our room online and sent a request to the innkeepers via email. I was really pleased when they responded within a few minutes. When we got there, we found that the inn is located in the middle of the village, which made it extremely close... More

My mom and I stayed at the Coachman's Inn for a semi last minute 1 night stay in Carmel. It was definitely the most affordable room we could find and it turned out to be a great hotel. When we arrived, we received a warm greeting and were then upgraded to a non-pet room (we didn't have a pet). The... More

Thank you for your kind comments! We have always wanted to be a place where you could find very nice accommodations without breaking the bank. We're glad you enjoyed your complimentary upgrades and the amenities. Our owners have tried to make the Coachmans Inn a place that you have all of the creature comforts of home. Look forward to welcoming... More

We have been staying at Coachman's Inn at least once a year for the past 7 years. It's a nice bargain for Carmel and is in a great location. Close to everything but not on a real busy road. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and fairly spacious. The Decor is a... More

Thanks, Julie! We love seeing our guests that have been coming back year after year. We try to maintain a comfortable and pleasing decor that is more of an inn than a bed and breakfast (the owner and I do like to go shopping together!) We look forward to seeing you again - and don't forget to check out the... More

My husband and I have been going to Carmel for many years. We always stay at the Coachman's Inn! It is the best place to stay for many reasons: it is centrally located, you can walk everywhere, the rooms are awesome and very clean, the beds are super comfy, the bathroom is great, the TV is great, YOU HAVE PRIVATE... We always enjoy staying at Coachman's as it is right in the middle of Carmel By The Sea. Easy walking to shops, restaurants and the beach.

Thanks, Dining Detectives. Sounds like you are the people to come to for restaurant advice! We love how you can find such a wide variety of cuisine within a radius of less than one-half mile from the inn. More

We had a three-night stay here for the first time in January. Won't be our last visit. They were so nice, the bed was very comfortable and the room super-quiet, even though it's in the heart of Carmel. Most of all, when we checked in, there was a little problem with our room heat and Karen and Bridgette immediately took... More

My wife and I had a top floor King with fireplace and couldn't have been more pleased. Normally, I don't go for an exterior corridor hotel, but the covered outside walkway (south facing for a nice bit of sun) served as a nice place to relax with a morning coffee on bench & chairs placed outside the rooms. The room... More
