The Four Sisters group acquired this 1950's ranch style, balcony access, three level motel in the last couple of years and upgraded it's decor. Our room was a king on the third level. The room is a comfortable size with more than adequate space for two people to move around and stash weekend sized luggage. Our king bed was comfortable,... More

My wife booked a mid-week, two night stay, at the Coachman's Inn last week for my birthday. Although we had lived in Carmel years ago, and were aware of the Coachman, we had never stayed or walked through this property until our stay. Having spent many years in the hotel / resort industry I have a high level of expectations... More

We stayed at the Coachman's Inn during a drive up the entire California Coast from LA and were impressed by the hotel's central location in Carmel. The hotel is surrounded by a plethora of great restaurants and galleries and is in the perfect setting. The property is really an old motel that's been completely renovated in order better correlate with... More

My daughter and I booked a two day get away in Carmel. Coachman's Inn was very well located, but busy it was at capacity. Check in was easy and friendly. The room was well appointed and clean. I have read comments about lack of privacy but there are shutters and they can be closed to give you privacy. Breakfast came... More

I brought my daughter here for a special treat from college. We loved it and the location is great for walking around the downtown area. The fireplaced King room we booked was very nice. The bathroom is very nice with tub/shower combo.

I travel with my 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs and this Inn accommodated all my needs. Nicely decorated and designed room, cute breakfast basket delivered as requested added a special touch to my stay. The location was not too close to the beach but a nice walk away.

We wanted to get away from the typical Corporate Hotel setting during our trip to Carmel and we found the Coachman's Inn and we were very pleased. The motel reminds me of European cottage, had ample off-street parking, very friendly staff, and nice accommodations. It is not a fancy place, but we wanted something that featured some charm of the... More

Great place to stay in Carmel. 1 !/2 Blocks off Ocean Ave (The main street). Close to many fine restaurants & shops. If you like shopping you will love Carmel. We found The Coachman's accommodations to be excellent. Clean rooms, some with fireplaces, quaint courtyard & easy access to the town and beach. We are in our seventies so chose... More

I was excited to see that Coachman's Inn was bought by Four Sisters. We've stayed at their properties before and were very pleased. Check-in was easy, we took our two dogs with us, so we took care of that paperwork and we were off to our rooms. Our friends were traveling with us, they were right down the hall from... More

This Inn has lots to offer--excellent locale within walking distance of shops and beach; beautiful, spacious room; and courteous, competent staff. We would definitely stay again. The two-for-one night offer made it an excellent value.
