Nice motel; accessible rooms on the bottom floor. The bed & pillows were on the hard side; my spouse is gluten-free and besides orange juice, overly-sugared cereal, an orange & an apple, there was nothing she could eat in the advertised breakfast -- always a problem traveling. The room was overheated & there was no apparent way to adjust the... More

My wife and I recently spent a night at The Coachman Inn and had a very nice experience. The location is great, only a few blocks from Ocean Avenue. Check in was friendly and efficient. We were given a large room with a king size bed and fireplace. Everything in the room was spotless. A continental breakfast is served in... More

This was our second visit to Coachman's Inn and once againwewereveryhappyto stay at this local boutique hotel. Yes, iris an older property, but well maintained. Staff are always very pleasant. We like this property because it is just two blocks off the main business drag, Ocean street. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants. So, ask yourself, do... More

Our room was large and clean and the bed very comfortable this time. The morning continental breakfast service to your room is a nice touch. The property is still nice, but IT IS NOW A NON-SMOKING PROPERTY. Before becoming part of the Four Sister's Hotel chain, the property was very smoker friendly (not in the rooms), they had ashtrays around... More

My husband and I were delighted with everything, from the comfortably appointed cozy room, to a quaint European-type exterior décor, and a cordial, helpful staff. Our croissant breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the close proximity to Ocean Avenue with its shopping and fine restaurants. We're definitely looking forward to a return visit within the next few months.

After a very long drive from Oregon to the Central Valley of California to visit our kids and grandbabies for a few days, my husband wanted to surprise me with a relaxing evening in Carmel on our way home....which turned in to a surprising two days! He did a little secret research and booked a room at the Coachman's Inn.... More

The Coachman's Inn is charming and cozy. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The bed was comfy. Location is perfect. Just a block and a half from Ocean Ave. so we walked everywhere. Parking is tight if you arrive later then 4 or 5 but still close on the street. Breakfast is brought to your room each... More

Very comfortable. My kid wanted to stay there one more night! WiFi signal was weak in my room. I had to be at the door to get connected. We also loved the continental breakfast which was delivered to the door in the morning.

This was a great place to stay for our weekend getaway. No need to take your car out of the parking lot, as you are just a block away from the main roadway in Carmel. It is also a few blocks away from the ocean. There is a complimentary breakfast, as well as a fireplace in the room to use... More

The Coachmen's Inn is our favorite place to stay when visiting Carmel. The rooms are quaint and more B&B than luxury hotel but it fits the ambiance of this fabulous low key city. It is a short walking distance to all our favorite restaurants and the beach. Every morning a perfect sized light breakfast is delivered. It includes croissants from... More
