We stayed at the Coachman's Inn with friends in an adjoining king room on the third floor. Very large rooms with fireplaces. Very clean and well furnished. They are currently re doing the railings on the outside walkways, which means the work starts at 8 am. Was NOT a problem with us since we were up anyway. The office personel... more

We stayed in room 101 which is a ground level room. Everything was clean and nice, pretty reasonable place for 200/night in Carmel. Great location...parking, allows dogs, little extras (breakfast, popcorn in room) so much convenience for visiting Carmel. Fast forward to the morning of our checkout... Girlfriend taking a shower, she is finishing up and I jump in... I... more

We stayed at the Coachmans Inn on our way to LA. Lovely little place, Great restaurants, shops, people. However we called in when we first arrived and were quoted $99 per room including breakfast. We went to the brilliant Tourist information and they got us the same rooms for $89. per night. The rooms are lovely , large well furnished... more

4 nights at the end of a fortnight in California. We'd spent ages considering places in Monterey and Carmel and eventually decided on the Coachmans due to location (Carmel), reviews and price. Following suggestions we booked a basic king on the third floor and we were surprised - a fireplace and a very comfortable and well appointed room with a... more

We chose this hotel because of its convenient but quiet location. We wanted character and charm and that's what we got - by the bucket load. We stayed three nights and loved Carmel. If you are keen golfers, like us, its such an honour to play at the famous golf clubs just a short drive away. All the staff at... more

We stayed here two nights at 303 dollars pr. night. There was no elevator, so we had to carry all our luggage up some very steep stairs to the top floor. The room was okay, very "cute" interior with "antiques", fake fireplace and "european" look. Refrigator. No pool, no cable. 2 queens side by side (we were 4 people). DVD... more

This is the first review I have ever written and I chose to do it on The Coachman's Inn in Carmel because I was really impressed with this inn. I booked this hotel mainly based on the reviews from others on trip advisor and I was not let down one bit. It is in a great location. We stayed in... more

We stayed at the Coachman Inn for 1 night during our trip from San Francisco to LA, only wished we could have stayed longer. The reception staff were helpful and courteous. The room was spacious and clean and included coffee making facilities, a microwave and a DVD player (DVD's available front the front desk). This was by far the cheapest... more

This was about the only place I could find in Carmel that didn't require a 2 night minimum on the weekend. It's only one block from Ocean Ave so the location is awesome. All the charming shops and restaurants are all around. We got the king size bed w/fireplace room for $197 out the door. All the king rooms are... more

Our family of five stayed in connecting rooms at the Coachman Inn for one night at the end of June. The rooms were lovely, spacious and comfy. Location was very convenient. Only negative -- it was rather warm so we had to keep the windows open while we slept. The noise from the passing traffic -- and garbage trucks(?) --... more
