We arrived at Horizon Inn late night after late dinner. By the time we checked in, it was almost 10 PM. We watched some TV till late. We slept in the next morning as normal holiday what we do. After we got up, we discovered that there were sands on the sheet. We felt it was disgusting and unacceptable. By... more

My husband and I stayed here once when we moved to CA a year ago and again recently for our anniversary. The staff on both occasions have been amazing, and the breakfast basket delivered in the morning is the cutest thing (and it's good, plus they will alternate what they bring when you are there for more than one night)!... more

My wife and I recently stayed here for 4 nights. Having never been here before or knew anyone who did, there is always a bit of anxiousness on your choice. That vanished the moment we walked into our room. The first thing we saw was the beautiful stone gas fireplace with a large mantel. Mounted on the wall above it... more

Originally planning a 2-night stay in Carmel, I HAD opted for Briarwood Inn, but Carol was so rude over the phone when I booked the reservation, I later changed lodging. For your reference, Briarwood Inn, "locks the door and posts a note" saying there is NO possiblility of checking into a room early. On the day I made the reservation,... more

I wasn't expecting much, since the price of their best room was far cheaper than anything else I could find. But when we got there the front desk staff was superb, very helpful with dinner suggestions and the room was a complete surprise. We had an ocean view (over the top of too many rooftops) but the best part was... more

Really a very high-end motel that provides breakfast. Our room was fantastic with fireplace, balcony, view of the Pacific sunset. Breakfast is decent but not fancy. Nice location near the center of Carmel. more

We just got back from 2 nights at the Horizon Inn. The staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms are adequate and clean. We stayed in Carmel a few months ago and got a much better deal for a nicer room at the La Playa hotel. The beds at the Horizon are extremely uncomfortable-we tossed and turned. For the price... more

My husband and I stayed at the Horizon in for 2 days in July after attending a friend's wedding in Los Gatos. Several of the places I had initially contacted were booked, so I then came across the Horizon Inn. It was very clean and comfortable, located within walking distance of the town with many shops and restaurants. The breakfast... more

My wife and I stayed at the Ocean View Lodge for our 27th wedding anniversary. We checked on on May 3 and left on May 5. I can say nothing more than it was great. You have to check in at the Horizon Inn and the gentleman was very nice and polite. He explained the room had a jacuzzi and... more
