We drove from San Francisco to Carmel for an Autumn Girls Get-away and chose Tradewinds Inn mainly for its' location. I hadn't been to Carmel in 5 years and being in the Travel Industry, I thought I should make a trek down. Michael was very accommodating and responsive in setting up our reservations for both our rooms and dining.

Upon arrival to our hotel we were greeted by the most hospitable hotel staff member named Robert. He walked up to our car as we drove in as if he were waiting for us all day. He greeted us with a beautiful orchid which he carried up to our room along with our bags. He then placed the orchid in a vase which seemed as if it were made especially for that purpose. Robert made us feel very welcome and at home.

The location is perfect since it is on a quieter part of Carmel by the sea. It is still walking distance to all the great shops and restaurants. The complimentary parking lot for guests is important since it is difficult to find... more
