Excellent beds, nice room, friendly staff. Breakfast is included, but not impressive unless you like sugary stuff. Great location, good parking and short walking distance to beach and shops. Highly recommended and only minus for the breakfast.

Parking is lacking, but the location and cozy atmosphere more than make up for this! Quaint, cozy, and in an amazing location. Only one block from the beach and a short drive from the downtown area. Would definitely stay again!

We have stayed here before but the Colonial Terrace Inn is the best play to stay. You are steps from the beach and conveniently located. This time we stayed in their junior suite/end unit, which was perfect. We will definitely stay here again!

We really liked that The Colonial Terrace was a short walk to the beach. It's close enough to hear the ocean but not too far from the center of town. The staff was friendly and excellent. The accommodations were perfect and the beds are so, so comfortable. Right place for a quick get-away or a longer vacation.

The location is a little far from the shopping/restaurant district of Carmel, but it had great access to the beach. Some of the staff was really great and offered excellent recommendations and a welcoming atmosphere for us. There was a very loud family in the room next to us, so we were thankful that we brought a portable speaker to... More

Our room was a deluxe king with garden view and it was a very nice size room. However, someone had arranged the furniture such that the sofa was placed at the foot of the bed with the coffee table in front of the sofa. This felt really awkward as it impeded the flow of traffic when entering the room. My... More

We stayed here for four nights. Great location. We could see the ocean from our upstairs room at back of property and hear the waves. The continental breakfast was okay. (Coffee could have been a little stronger.) Room was on the small side but we wanted the beach location at a good price. Bed was comfortable; facility was clean and... More

In a nice quiet residential area 15 minutes walk from the small town centre and 3 minutes walk to the beach so location is great. Our room was really small and a little tired but very clean. I have to say that I was disappointed in the size of room, but the lovely comfortable bed was nice. Breakfast is continental... More

This is a really quaint bed and breakfast that is a block's walk from the ocean. However, the rooms were not quite what were expected. The rooms can be a bit loud, and the bathroom is in need of a serious remodeling job.

This was our second stay at the Colonial Terrace. Stayed mid-week this time. Check-in was simple and our requests, when the reservation was made, were all taken care of prior to arrival. Our room this trip had two queen beds and a small kitchenette. Nicer room than our prior stay. Staff and management were accommodating and helpful. Price was pretty... More

Dear catherinew792: Thank you for staying with us for a repeat visit. We’re very glad that you enjoyed your visit and that all your requests were accommodated. Many guests enjoy drifting to sleep while listening to the ocean waves that can be heard throughout the property. We also have ocean-view rooms with balconies that allow for a different experience.
