We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The entire facility is clean, quiet and attractive. The next time that we visit Carmel, we will plan to return to the Colonial Terrace.

This beautiful inn was just what we were looking for. Quiet, picturesque setting in lovely neighborhoods a couple blocks away from Carmel Beach. This facility is about 10 blocks south of Ocean Ave so you will need a car for shopping and restaurants there. But the excellent service, lovely landscaping, and quaint rooms (i.e. refreshed but small) were just what... More

Have been coming to the Colonial terrace for about 5 years, have stayed in other places around Carmel but really enjoy The Colonial Terrace, close to the ocean to where you can hear the waves, warm comfortable clean rooms.

We recently spent two nights at the Colonial Terrace. This was our third visit to Carmel - and the Colonial Terrace is in an outstanding location - quiet, residential area and only one block from Carmel Beach. The hotel is actually a series of one and two-story clapboard buildings, each having 2-3-4 rooms. The grounds are beautiful, well-maintained, nice walkways... More

Everything was great. Would recommend this place to everyone. Andrea at the front desk was very nice and matched the price on Hotel tonight which was awesome, since I like booking directly with the hotel.

We absolutely loved the Colonial Terrace. It's in a great part of town, where you're close to everything but it's still very quiet at night. The beach is only steps away, and in our case, it was the perfect distance to Big Sur where we went for dinner. My husband was asking if we could stay another night because he... More

Very nice location and staff. Grounds are pretty. Rooms are not "luxury" but definitely suffice when taken with all of the other pros of the property. Breakfast is a nice thing to have to kick off the day and the fireplace outside is great!

By Alex & Lara, Apr 29 Stay there was great, went with a bunch of friends and we all felt like we were in someones house just having great fun. Great calm location, near the beach, good running and overall dining and shopping experience in the area.

We recently stayed here for one night on a trip up the coast. We drove from Sequoia National Park to Route 1 in Morro Bay and up the coast with a stop here for the night, and then on to San Francisco for our departure home the following morning. After a LONG drive from Sequoia, we were pleasantly surprised to... More

Colonial Terrace Inn. A rambling property with many rooms but never seems crowded. Lots of private outdoor areas. Good continental breakfast and COOKIES in the afternoon. With no street lights in Carmel, they loan out flashlights to guests who want to walk the few blocks io the restaurant area rather than drive . A block from the beach. Don't forget... More
