Had one night in Carmel, this place is gorgeous and the bed is so comfy! Room is big wnough for two people and suitcases and the shower is huge with great water pressure. Owners are very friendly and the Inn is perfectly located close to coffe shops, art gallerys and amazing restaurants. Excellent little spot.

Stayed two nights. Very charming Inn-type hotel on Ocean Ave. right in the heart of Carmel. Easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and beautiful, white sand beach at foot of Ocean Ave. Rooms very charming and up-to-date. Free WiFi that worked very well. Nice continental breakfast in morning. Coffee, tea, sherry, and lemon cookies in lobby. Only ding is the... More

We were booked into this place by a conference organiser, so had no real expectations. Compared to the website I found it a bit less classy than I expected - basically a 1970s era wooden motel - but it was very nice, with great care lavished on potplants and ambience. We loved the old fireplace in the bedroom with a... More

I have stayed here twice, once in a renovated room and once in an original room. They were both great, and I really enjoyed the updated shower in the renovated room. If you are sensitive to noise, try to get a room near the back of the property. In our most recent visit, our room overlooked the pool and had... More

Quaint Inn in very busy town. The room was fine as it was the last one left and we arrived late in the afternoon. Staff were not very friendly but did manage to fit us in. We had a glass of sherry at happy hour, but not encouraged to indulge! Breakfast was OK and the server was quite charming. Our... More

I like the Normandy Inn. I've stayed here many times. in many different room configurations over the years and it's always interesting, comfortable, convenient and charming. It's not a chain that has consistent quality control but that's part of the deal in Carmel and especially at the Normandy Inn. On this trip we stayed in one of the bungalows in... More

This motel stands out in terms of it's prime location in Carmel, proximity to the beach and the landscaping. Otherwise it is a 60's era motel that would not otherwise command the prices that Carmel properties can. The bedroom was pleasant and the bed was good. The website says the rooms were renovated but the very nice plantation style shutters... More

I would like to be very clear: we knew we would be spending very little time at our hotel, but Normandy inn came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. *greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff: easy check in-easy check out *décor: common areas are cute, and clean. Looks like some new hip upholstery was done. When our group got... More

This small hotel was gorgeous, the rooms were as if brand new, so clean and perfectly furnished. The beds were really comfortable, the shower room was fantastic, afternoon tea/coffee/whiskey and shortbread biscuits infront of an open fire, just perfect! Right in the middle of town with plenty of parking and easy walking to the beautiful huge beach and all the... More

The hotel is so pretty and the staff sweet and accommodating. However, they have problems. Start with free continental breakfast. One of the worst. They should be embarrassed to even offer it. Then the rooms. Three of us took a small house on property. My bedroom had a bed and a chair. No nightstand, no chest. No lamp. So I... More
