We were in unit 36, king bed. Upon opening the door and walking in, it became very apparent that the picture posted for this room on their website was not recent. The room looked worn, furniture, carpeting, wallpaper all needed to be replaced. The newest piece of furniture was the TV. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. Old tile... More

The big draw for booking this Inn was the fireplace. And it did add some needed ambiance to the room which is small--but clean and quiet. The bed (king size) was comfortable. Parking can be an issue (we had to park on the street at times) and the breakfast is pretty much standard for the area--coffee, juice, bagels, pastries. Staff... More

we recently booked rooms for my daughters wedding. My husband and I resented a 2 bedroom cottage that was on next block( within 1 block) . Was fully equipped with full kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay so much. We were not in a high traffic area, beds were super comfy and there was... More

We had a nice time at the Fireplace Inn. Rooms are spacious and pretty clean. Bathroom is fine and there is a big warm fireplace. Service was not that great though. Make sure you leave plenty of time if you'd like breakfast, you won't get any if you're close to closing time ;)

This is our second time staying at The Fireplace Inn. We love the cute cottages. It has a small kitchen and a em washer and Dryer. That comes in handy when you are traveling several days. It is located close to Ocean Avenue and the beach. You can walk to both.

We stayed at the Carmel Fireplace Inn one night to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The location is great as it is right in the downtown area with everything in walking distance. The parking lot is very small (maybe 8 spots), so we parked on the street. We did have to move our car one time due to the parking regulations.... More

I love to write great reviews of places that I enjoy, so it's with disappointment that I write of the transactional, quick and chilly reception I got from Robin when I arrived at the Inn. Within seconds she had my credit card rung through but didn't have the time to smile & ask how my drive was or something of... More

We had a wonderful stay with my wife and two daughters at Carmel Fireplace Inn. We chose the Delores Cottage - 3 bedroom cottage. Nicely appointed with a kitchen as well. Short walk to all the shopping and restaurants a few blocks away, and easy commute to the beach. Rooms were immaculate and thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we took... More

I have so many wonderful memories here over the years. The rooms are quaint and clean. The location is perfect. I think that there is a certain charm to things that do not change. I love the staff, the grounds and the feel of this place. It is truly a place I hold dear to my heart. I would walk... More

Older property, but clean and comfortable. We had the king size bed. The room had a desk and two upholstered armchairs. Breakfast was bagels and muffins, apples and oranges, juice, tea and coffee. We brought down smoked salmon, sweet onions and micro-greens to add to the toasted bagel and cream cheese. A mini-fridge kept our perishables and beverages cold. I... More
