we stayed here for 2 nights. Room was very large with an extra large bed, so much room to move. Fireplace added a romantic touch. Staff were very friendly. Offers off street parking and free wifi. Breakfast of coffee, pastries and fruit is provided. Close to all main street shops etc.Cute little place to stay.

Our family rented a small cottage ( had 2 bedrooms,1.5 baths, living room and full kitchen) with the Carmel Fireplace Inn for 2 nights. We were so very pleased with the kind service and fabulously clean cottage. I could not have asked for more! We were located 1 block from downtown and could walk to dinner and shops. Carmel was... This quaint and charming Inn has been a favorite of ours over the last 20 years! Lisa who was working at the front desk was particularly helpful in assisting us in selecting our room and in helping us find nearby sites! She really went out of her way to make sure that we had a comfortable stay!! We really loved... More

The Inn from the exterior is beautiful! The flowers and lobby area are stunning and create a wonderful atmosphere, but the rooms themselves could be better. Our room was standard for the price and seemed as if we were staying at a motel rather than an expensive Inn. We even had a large spider in our room that came out... More

We stayed in one of the corner rooms on the 2nd floor with one side facing the street and the other - the parking lot. The location is ideal for the price (got a Livingsocial deal)- close to the beach and the old town. The room looks old (circa 70s wall paper boarder) but generally clean and I especially enjoyed... We stayed in one of the cottages. Could have been quite lovely but it was run down and somewhat dirty. I don't want to see other people's hair still stuck to the wall in the bathroom. The paint was years and years old and the curtains were dusty and looked like they were original from the 70s and never washed.... More

We stayed in room 27. Our room was cute and european. Looked fairly reno'd and nice and clean. It was so quiet. Never heard our neighbours once and the place was fully booked all week. The location is amazing. A walk to everything including the beach (about 15 minutes). There is a big hill to climb on the way back... More

I spent one night on our road trip from LA to San Francisco. Really nice place in a lively street, this is an interesting point considering that Carmel is a very tiny town with no many things to do. The worst: not enough towells (only one and we were two!!). The best: the breakfast yummy!!

We discovered Carmel Fireplace Inn by researching a Living Social ad. We were too late to get the advertised deal, but my husband called directly, and was luckily given a great rate on one of their smaller rooms. We stayed there for two nights, thoroughly enjoying every moment of our stay. The hotel, made up of several individual cottages, was... More

A random pick to break the drive from LA to San Fran and we were very lucky here. Very twee place that matched the town. Nice room with comfy bed. Breakfast good bagel choice, cinnamon and raisin was my favourite and again welcoming breakfast area looking out on the plants and flower that are everywhere. Final bonus is off street... More
