We changed our 1-night stay to a 2-night respite. This is a lovely little inn in a lovely town. We hope to return. It's close to Point Lobos, fine restaurants, and boutique shopping, and less than a days drive from San Francisco.

The candle light inn is greatly located in the charming little town of Carmel, a must for any newly romantic couples. You can walk around the entire town of Carmel and then come back to the inn and relax by the beautiful fire place. The rooms are beautiful and have a nice bathroom and big main room. Parking is great,... More

I really loved this place. The room was really large, really clean, and really inviting, and the bed was super comfortable. Free breakfast, wifi, and parking. About 2 blocks from downtown. Totally recommend.

This wonderful little travel lodge is just a few blocks from ocean. The staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable of the area and the outdoor fire pit was quite a cool little additional feature. The complementary continental breakfast wasn't much to look at, but it was delivered to your door which was very nice.

It's hard to write this review, as I truly have mixed feelings. The Good: The staff was great, very accommodating. They prepped the room so we could check in early. The room was very clean (having the tv on with piano music was a nice welcoming touch). The power went off, and a staff member came by with a flashlight... More

We stayed here on New Year's Eve. Perfect location after driving up the coast. King room with hot tub for 2 and a fireplace. We had dinner with the fire going and then toasted to the new year! Plush robes, comfortable bed and breakfast delivered to your door. Lovely, quaint hotel. Fire pit at night was a nice touch. Walked... More

Let me start by saying, Carmel is one of my happiest places on earth. The Candle Light Inn is a charming inn in downtown Carmel. Close to everything! We hate chain hotels and loved the everything this charming inn had to offer. Sometimes it's the simple things that can make your get-a-way fantastic. We had a fireplace in our room... More

Well placed inn in the centre of the town. Plenty of free parking. Spacious room and well equipped. Refurbished bathrooms good. Towels near to end of life. Front desk staff helpful on check in. Cool box with breakfast goodies is rather quirky though.

I stayed here with friends back in October and it ended up being the perfect place for us. Our room was nice, clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was nice and we loved the fire pit too! Only thing that could make it better is a pool/hot tub. Rates were reasonable as well and we walked everywhere, so the location... More
