The first thing you need is to be close to downtown - parking is tough. Just a few blocks off Ocean Ave, this B&B also includes parking, a needed amenity. After we checked in and admired our room, esp. the lovely fireplace, we stopped off for some complimentary port in the day room. They have a book with a lot... More

a little over a block from Ocean avenue, the main drag of this terrific destination town, this is a decent inn in 2 buildings - room was ok but small with bed tucked into an alcove, breakfast good, off-street parking, nice staff

My wife and I purchased a two night package on Living Social and it turned out to be a great investment. In the heart of Carmel with everything in walking distance; a suite with a bedroom/living room, full kitchen, large hallway, and bath; friendly and helpful staff with excellent recommendations. Totally will go back again on my next trip to... More

We went as a family and stayed in the house #1 and it was very nice with all shops and restaurants all with in walking distance. One draw back was there was not a restroom in the "Lobby" area and after the drive from the airport it was a necessity, we were advised by management to use the gas station... More

This hotel was in a great location in that it was very easy to walk everywhere you wanted to go in Carmel. Rooms have assigned parking spaces, so that is great to ensure you have someplace to leave your car and not have to park on the road. The room we selected when booking online was a little dated, but... More

I found a Living Social deal for Briarwood Inn and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. My girlfriend and I stayed two nights. It is conveniently located near many restaurants, which was a huge positive. We walked everywhere. Our room had an older style, but was very clean and comfortable. It is not trendy, if that is a priority.... More

Like many Carmel inns, this one was not originally built as lodging. This means that you need to be prepared to handle some peculiarities. In our case, the suite was spacious but the bedroom tiny. The bed filled nearly the entire space. There was a closet but no usable drawer space in the bedroom, though space was available in the... More

We have stayed in Carmel too many times to count - it is a favorite, dog friendly, fantastic beach, charming town, lovely people kind of place! This was the first time, however, that we stayed at the Briarwood. Our accommodation was clean and nicely appointed. The only small down side was that the fridge was in a very small, cramped... The Briarwood is a comfortable convenient place to stay right in Downtown Carmel. We had a good sized room, clean bathroom and a free continental breakfast in the morning. Walkable to everything. The decor is homey, not chic.

This was a great little inn to stay at. Right in the heart of the town, you can walk to everything from here. The room was large yet cozy, clean and comfortable. There was a free social hour with delicious local wine from nearby winery, along with complimentary glasses to keep as a memento of our stay. The staff was... More
