Rating: ½ Star We stayed in this B&B for one night and although the room and location were more than acceptable, the actions and responses of the management have left a sour taste that will prevent any return. We should have had the first clue when we were in their reception and witnessed a very upset customer and his wife... More

We are glad to know you enjoyed your stay at the Briarwood Inn and that the room and accommodations were more than pleasant! We do apologize for the amount of time it took for us to find the error, however this is a very rare occurrence and the person working the desk that day was not aware of the procedure... More

The Briarwood Inn is centrally located and convenient to good dining and shopping in Carmel. Our room was very well appointed and a pleasure to relax in after a busy day. The beds were comfortable and the seating area was perfect to recharge in after enjoying Carmel-By-The-Sea.

We had a good sized room which was clean but dated with a very small carport below our room, with so many large cars about these days it was a struggle to get parked in it. When we were there a couple told us their car got damaged when someone was trying to get their car out. There are lots... More

We stayed for one night in this B and B and paid over $200 for a room (wooden cabin) right on the street with no air conditioning and just about enough room for a bed. Even though we arrived an hour within the check in window the receptionist made us feel bad for being the last people to check in... More

Briarwood was Close to the action. It was walking distance to everything. Covered ( tiny) carport thank goodness we had a Honda civic. It was a Cozy room but worth it to be walking distance to everything. Very clean.

My husband and I were only one night at briarwood inn. Really big room, bathroom OK, everything clean, just a little bit old and the bathroom too. Very good location. No need car. Restaurants and shops at 1 minute walk. I found service not too enthusiastic and not vey talkative. Just Ok for the price we paid. Would not repeat... More

After a nice drive from SF we arrived in this little nice hotel in Carmel with a free parking Spot (hard to find there really) and nice people at the reception. Nothing really to complain about. Great restaurants around the corner.

This was just what we were looking for on our 39th anniversary trip to Carmel. The room we had was very adequate with a comfy queen bed, a sitting area, and a kitchenette. The bathroom was small but served its purpose. The innkeepers were very helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast was nothing fancy but certainly enough to get the... More

My wife got this deal on Living Social. We stayed there for 2 nights. Only positive is the location. The room was extremely old and dated. The end table for the bed was a small piece of plywood nailed to the wall. There was actually a fully functional VCR in the room- no DVD or CD player in the room.... More

We had one of the best and biggest rooms #49. We purchased it through Living Social for a mid-week two night stay. Good: 1. The room was generally comfortable after navigating the stairs to get in. The bathroom is small and the furnishings are very dated. But, the king bed was reasonably comfortable and that is important. The long matches... More
