We had a great 3 night stay at the Vagabond Inn. It is at a perfect location- 2 blocks or so from the main shopping and restaurant street. They have wine and cheese in the afternoon and deliver a continental breakfast to your door. The courtyard is so pretty lit up at night and has a beautiful fountain. The managers... More

We stayed at The Vagabond's House Inn the weekend before checking into a property we had rented for our daughter's destination wedding on Point Lobos Ridge. Thomas, the personable property manager of The Vagabond's House Inn, helped get the wedding week off to a great start with all of the excellent recommendations he gave us in response to the gamut... This was the first stop on our honeymoon and we were nothing but impressed. We were greeted by Randall who was so pleasant and knowledgeable, he gave us a wonderful dinner recommendation and alerted everyone at the restaurant that it was our honeymoon! The inn is charming, clean and romantic. It definitely feels like a luxury tree house in the... More

We stopped over in Carmel for just 2 nights & picked the Vagabond's House Inn because of the good reviews and it is certainly a great little place to stay. Easy stroll onto the main street through Carmel down to the ocean /beach and breakfast delivered to your room each morning. If we headed back this way, we would stay... More

The rooms were just beautiful, with all the little details taken care of (like nice bathroom products). The little courtyard is very cute and the staff extremely helpful. We loved coming back to our cozy room each evening. I would highly recommend this b&b, although it is not cheap (but nothing in the area is..)

I recently stayed at the Vagabond house, and it was everything we pictured it to be. The inn was just what we needed for our honeymoon, a relaxing get-a-way! We arrived with a warm welcoming by a handsome boy, Antonio, he really made our trip everything we could have asked for. He new it was our honeymoon and set up... More

We were welcomed with opened arms. Tom the innkeeper was a sure delight! We came in to check in with two overly tired little girls and a little dog. Needles to say we looked a little like a motley crew and he did not skip a beet and reassured us that we were wonderful. We had a great room and... More

We travel a lot for business and for pleasure and have stayed in really wonderful hotels around the world but the Vagabond house Inn is a unique gem. When we first stepped into the courtyard we felt like we had been transported to a very special place where time seems to slow down and you forget the world around you.... More

Having seen good reviews of this Inn and looked at the individual pictures of each bright and airy room I specifically picked room No 5 because it was claimed to be quiet (no-one upstairs or adjacent). On entering, the room set up was much different to the internet pictures and was dark, dingy and not all things worked. e.g. Front... More

Our rooms were attractively furnished, spacious, and included extras such as a decanter of sherry to sip in front of the fire, and fresh fruit. The inn welcomes dogs and provides blankets, treats, and other amenities to make them comfortable. We did not bring our dog, and our room had no smell or other evidence of a dog ever having... More
