I have stayed at the Vagabond 3 times, and going back next month. I've stayed with family, and with my husband. Couldn't be more perfect. Flowers, beautiful courtyard, wine/cheese tasting every evening, cozy romantic rooms with fireplaces, and a great location! You truly can't ask for a cuter place. I think the guest cottages were built in the '30's, '40's(?). There's even an old phone booth still on the property. But they have been updated and maintained. This was a lovely place for a several day stay in Carmel. I loved the option to have breakfast in the courtyard and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. more

I had hoped to stay at Vagabond House Inn on a previous visit to Monterey Peninsula but it didn't work out that time. This time I booked for two nights in one of the smaller rooms.
