5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My partner and I stayed here in late Jan and had a wonderful time. The room (we booked room 6) was delightful - comfy bed, had a fireplace, window seat, bathroom with heaps of character. Very generous breakfast. We also met a lovely man who helped us check in and did wine/ cheese hour from 5pm. Over some delicious cheese... More

A lovely place, with a friendly and welcoming staff and a fine breakfast served in your room. Peaceful and quiet yet just a few blocks from restaurants and shops, rooms are clustered around a sweet little courtyard, each furnished with care and attention to style and comfort. A romantic setting and also great for families. We had a wonderful time... More

My husband and I returned to the Vagabond House Inn twenty years after staying the first time and we enjoyed it just as much as we did the first time. This is a very well cared for bed and breakfast within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town. The rooms are quaint with upscale touches like heated... More

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Vagabond House Inn. Our second floor room was clean and comfortable with a nice view (and even a window seat). The fireplace was a nice addition and kept the room cozy. The staff were extremely friendly. And the breakfast each morning was tasty and just the right amount of food to... More

We spent two nights at Vagabond's House Inn early November. The place is very cute and is made up of a number of little English cottages around a beautiful garden with a water fountain. We stayed in a room on the second floor overlooking the open-space. It's not a big room but it is fully furnished with a fire-place, fridge... More

We just came back from a weeklong trip to California, ending in San Diego for Thanksgiving with family. En route, we stopped at the Vagabond's House for a night, and boy are we glad we did. This place is lovely, charming and well located to explore Carmel. Wish we had more time to stay and visit the town, but even... More

Having read the reviews for different B&B's in the area we decided to stay at Vagabond and are so happy we did! We originally had planned to stay for 1 night but loved the hotel and Carmel so much we stayed for 3. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautiful (we stayed in 2 different ones)... More

This charming B&B was a perfect choice. Located in the heart of Carmel, it is a convenient walk to great restaurants and shopping. The grounds were beautiful with bright flowers. I stayed in two different rooms. The first was quaint and had a wood burning fireplace and was divine. The second room (switch due to scheduling) was more upscale with... More

Just returned from a very pleasant, 4-night stay at the Vagabond's House Inn. The property has been nicely upgraded since our last visit over 15 years ago. Our large room (#4) facing the pretty, central courtyard had a spacious, open-feeling bedroom/sitting room with a wood-burning fireplace, full kitchen, ample bathroom with rain shower, storage space, and comfortable bed. It was... More
