It is ashame this hotel will close ( at least in the short run ). I stayed there 2 nights at the end of October, and enjoyed the hotel and spa. A couple notes: upon check in they wrote room number on the card; i luggged my luggage to that room and key didnt work. So i lugged luggage back... more

we were coming from los angeles and stayed the night before at a not so friendly kids hotel (montecito inn) in santa barbara which made us rethink our future travel plans. We arrived at the hotel and check in was a breeze, they even had party favors for our two kids which was a nice touch. we checked in and... more

We loved the Quail Lodge. Rooms are great and big. Staff is friendly and helpful. Gym and classes are great. Also has a terrific golf course. Too bad that it is closing. It is one of our favorite places. Maybe someone will buy it more

We spent only one night at the Quail Lodge, and wish we could have stayed at least one more night...The rate for Sunday night was relatively low, and we recieved a great and romantic room. The Resort is huge and we spent the morning just walking around. The breakfast is very good (but not great), and if you're in the... more

We spent two fabulous nights at the Quail Lodge. I dont understand any of the negative reviews-The property is gorgeous, the location perfect and the room and pool nice. the Breakfast is a pleasant 5 minute walk, and there is free coffee in the Lobby all morning. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance and in carmel... more

Recently stayed for 4 nights. Although the rooms were of a good size and well appointed, the entire resort seems to be in need of a makeover. Having said that, the beds were extremely comfortable, the bathroom toiletries of high quality, the flat screen TV was of a decent size, and there was complimentary wireless internet although there were some... more

Beautiful, relaxing resort setting. Staff is friendly but totally disorganized including front desk, housekeeping, & restaurant. Does not seem that anyone is supervising this once great spot. Golf experience is still first rate.Main reataurant is closed;the operational one is at the golf course. more

"I had the pleasure of staying at the Quail Lodge recently and I have to say I absolutely loved it. First of all, the grounds are lovely and tranquil and whether you are a golfer or not, it's great to look outside your window or sit on your own patio and enjoy all the greenery, fountains and lagoons. I felt... more

This resort is not what it portrays to be. It's first class rooms, amazing deals and packages, excellent customer service, and overall successful operation is an illusion. I want have to say the only gleam of light is the golf course itself. If you are looking for friendly, honest, sincere, and sane staff put on your brakes and turn around.... more

If you are looking at Quail Lodge, you should keep in mind a couple of things: 1. It is billed as a resort, and is kid and dog "friendly". Since there are few "resorts" in Carmel Valley, you are likely to find more kids and dogs than your average hotel in the area. And maybe its because of kids that... more
