I took the opportunity to stay at Hyatt Highland and so glad that my husband and I did it. The place is amazing (we had a one-bedroom), and the balcony looks out to the ocean. We did a couple of wine tastings including one at the resort. We capped our stay by spending the day in San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf... More

This hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The only good things I could find was the view, bar food and Marie and Kathleen the concierge. Our room although it had a view was situated over Highway 1, very noisy, ok it's highway one, but there was also a loading bay which was in constant... More

We stayed in this charming and unique resort tucked into the mountains along the Pacific Coast Highway on a family vacation (mom, dad and 2 teenage daughters) and could not have been happier even though our room had a minor flood (more on that later). When we arrived we had planned to have our daughters sleep on cots in our... More

We had a wonderful 2 level town house. Steep steps so that was one complaint regarding the place. The interior is all updated, the view is amazing and the kitchen was good enough to cook a meal. The bath tub jacuzzi is pretty amazing. The lobby bathroom however is atrocious. For what they charge, they really should update it. I... More

This hotel was built just after the turn of the century on what I believe to be THE best location anywhere in the U.S. Hyatt bought the Highlands Inn maybe 10 or so years ago and branded it, so there are some changes (I stayed when it was the Highlands Inn) but there has been a successful effort to retain... We gave up trying to book a nice room at the adjacent Tickled Pink inn and glad we settled on this Hyatt instead. From our 2-level suite we could see back and left to the said inn (with unbelievably tardy responses to online booking attempts) and gauge that actually we did rather well with a superior property complete with stunning... The structure is still there, the terrific Pacific Edge Restaurant is still there, some of the timely and gracious staff service is still there, but it's not the hotel it used to be. The Highlands Inn is currently about 3/4 timeshare and 1/4 hotel and it shows. We had been to the hotel twice in the 90's and again July... More

This is not the type of Hyatt you're thinking of, the kind with a glass elevator and a corporate rate for the conference you're attending in the basement. This is where you use the Hyatt points you accumulate from THAT type of Hyatt. This place feels like you are a resident of one of the most scenic areas of the... More

We booked the Hyatt after American Express told us it was part of their Fine Hotels at $750 a night!... We check in at hotel booked 2 villas. Sat down for glass of wine with magnificent views and was approached by young man employed by Hyatt telling us about Carmel and discounts in area. After 15 minutes of talking he... More

It is perched around the Big Sur drive and you can directly see the sea from your hotel room. The room is much like an apartment. Kitchen, two bathroom, lounge (with a fireplace) and a beautiful room. I loved the bath in the centre of the room. The food is exquisite. I had some of the best food on the... More
