We really enjoyed our stay and in my opinion, the other reviews are very accurate: very pricey, great service (for example, they went out and got us a NYT). We had a great night sleep, despite what the others have pointed out (creaky floors...). The rooms have a tad bit of a B&B ambience (but not the bathrooms which are... More

My husband & I visited Carmel for a couple days together in May for the 1st time, and we were so thrilled with our choice to stay here. It is small & intimate with a beautiful entrance that makes you feel like you are in a small town somewhere in Europe, especially with the lovely red flower boxes. The service... More

The hotel is an older property not representative of l Auberge. Staff was most congenial and we truly enjoyed our stay. The location is the best in Carmel as it is one block off Ocean which is the main shopping street in Carmel. My only negative is it is quite pricey for the room quality, etc

We only stayed at L'Auberge one night, but it was wonderful! This is a beautiful, charming hotel near the center of Carmel. We were pampered from arrival to departure. We even got cookies & milk before bed. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful. We will definitely go back. We loved L'Auberge!

We were lucky enough to stay here 2 nights while we played in Carmel. This is a beautiful, quaint and charming hotel. The breakfast was very European style and very well presented. Hope to visit again one day.

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary spontaneously by going to Carmel. We did not have reservations, we arrived Sunday around 6pm, and we were fortunate to get a room. About 15 years ago we stayed at the same property when it was The Sundial Inn, but since then (even thought we loved the Sundial) it was upgraded quite a bit. It... More

We stayed here for two nights on a long birthday weekend along the coast. We started at L'Auberge and it was great place to be pampered and start relaxing. We were in room 14 which is upstairs some narrow stairs, but thankfully the wonderful staff took care of getting all our luggage up their. The room is facing 7th street.... More

This hotel was perfect from start to finish. The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and efficient. The facility has loads of character. The location is just a few blocks from the beach and one block from downtown Carmel shops. Even the beds were perfect. We would definitely return for another stay.

This hotel represents the tops in beauty, luxury, and service. We loved it. Traveled with our Chipoo. Very dog friendly. Great room, bed, bedding, amenities, bathroom even a small view of the coast. Fruit awaited our arrival. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Beautiful patio. My husband was soooo happy he could smoke his cigar on the patio at an... More

Had the pleasure of a night at L'Auberge, Carmel. Quaint and charming all rooms are accessed around the courtyard setting. Breakfast and valet parking included in rate. Carmel itself is a quiet, small town but one definitely worth a visit. Wish we could have stayed longer.
