A charming boutique hotel with a beautiful courtyard and first class service . Stayed 1 night on our trip around California and wished we had stayed 2 . The rooms are all different The beds were extremely comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is European style, so there may be steps. However, the staff takes superb care of you from the time you pull up out front. Your baggage is handled, the included breakfast is wonderful (room service provided) - there's even milk and cookies with the evening turn-down. Need to go somewhere locally - no problem; the hotel will take... More

L'Auberge is a charming hotel, filled with character in an ideal position. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The courtyard around which the hotel is built is gorgeous and very inviting. Breakfasts were delicious with a well designed menu from which to make a selection. Our room was very spacious with a partial view of the sea. Furnishings were... More

We celebrated our wedding anniversary in this wonderful hotel and have the best experience. All the staff were so friendly e so helpful for all the visit. The location was perfect just a few minutes to the beach. Personally I loved the beautiful central courtyard.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. Our room was beautiful and luxurious . The hotel staff were charming and attentive and little touches like the homemade biscuits at night made it feel extra special. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and ate in the superb restaurant one night. Expensive but worth it. The staff even brought us a celebratory chocolate... More

Return visit was still very enjoyable. Tasting menu with wine pairing option and the cooking is still refined and tasty. They do accommodate special preferences for meat, seafood etc. and will modify the courses to please. Service is excellent although a tad fast between courses. Overall a wonderful place for a refine dinner in Carmel.

I will keep it short, but while there are many places to stay in Carmel, i was pleasantly delighted by our weekend at the L'Auberge Hotel. The hotel is small and intimate and luxurious. What is key here is the level of hospitality we received from literally every staff member. They obviously come from a place of Yes rather than... More

We were here on our five year anniversary trip and it could not have been more perfect. The room was large and comfortable, with amenities and extras. Breakfast was delicious, and the chef's tasting menu at the restaurant was incredible. A lovely walk down to the beach, and picturesque shopping all around put the hotel in the perfect location. But... More

L'Auberge is for travelers who want to be spoiled - you get to know everyone by name and they take care of your every need. Staff are happy to work there and it shows. George, the hotel manager, sets the tone for L'Auberge and it is a happy place. My room was upstairs, quiet and beautiful. Great, comfy beds that you... More

Simply amazing. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, comfortable and luxurious. It had everything we needed, every detail was considered, even down to the flashlight for the unlit streets of Carmel! The restaurant was fine dining at the top of its game. Breakfast was relaxing, lovely continental breakfast,... More
