Simply amazing. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, comfortable and luxurious. It had everything we needed, every detail was considered, even down to the flashlight for the unlit streets of Carmel! The restaurant was fine dining at the top of its game. Breakfast was relaxing, lovely continental breakfast,... More

This charming Relais & Chateaux inn is a few blocks from the beach and walking distance from the major Carmel shops/restaurant row; its location is ideal. The staff was very welcoming, was greeted by all, service was excellent, as well as the delicious breakfast. We had a large, comfortable room over the courtyard. It was a warm Saturday, we had... We "happened upon" this gem. Stopped in Carmel on a road trip, there are so many places to stay it was overwhelming. Looking for a nice place to be pampered we stopped in a home decor store who suggested L'Auberge. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. The staff were very helpful from our arrival to our... My wife and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived,we were treated as if we were the only ones that mattered. The staff went out of their way to make us feel pampered. The room was perfect with the large soaking tub and luxurious bed. Thank you for making our anniversary so perfect!

We stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon. From start to finish the service was perfect, personal but not OTT, Kyle was especially helpful, he was at the door waiting for us on our arrival and was on hand for any queries. The breakfast was a good start to the day and the cookies and milk at bed time were... A delightful and personal hotel in the heart of Carmel. A lovely courtyard with a tinkling fountain (perhaps could be turned off at night!) and a really comfortable room with great amenities. Delightful staff who are highly congenial but also professional. Room rate included a continental + style fo breakfast. Theses upmarket at upmarket prices but the sort of hotel... More

Perfectly lovely overnight stay—décor ok though not to my taste (personally would recommend changing the brown carpeting and old-fashioned light fixtures, but that’s just me), but service was very friendly and helpful. The manager seems very hands-on and approachable and I really enjoyed the opportunity to chat with him, he is clearly very passionate about the hotel. A homemade oatmeal... More

This is one of the most lovely hotels we have ever been to... and we have traveled alot. Beautifully decorated with attention to every detail. Even more impressive is the impeccable service...attentive, personal, and thoughtful. They made our anniversary special beyond belief. The restaurant is extraordinary. If you are foodies you will love the tasting menu and wine pairing. All in... More

Love the L'Auberge. Drinks on arrival while signing in. Great bedrooms. Lovely breakfast with coddled eggs and beautiful table settings. Like being back in old old Europe for a morning! Kids loved it as did my wife and I.

Spent a lovely, Spring-like long weekend over MLK holiday. The inn is as charming as they come. Service is top rate and the location, in the center of the village but on a quiet side street is perfection. The moment we arrived we were offered a glass of wine. Everyone was cordial and friendly. The top rated restaurant was unfortunatly... More
