Very personable staff and very friendly! Classy hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. Though I haven't eaten at their restaurant I here its equivalent to the French Laundry in Napa. Great location and convenience for downtown Carmel restaurants and shops. The only negative thing I have is that the rooms are dusty. Attention to detail is a must for a hotel... More

We had booked a Deluxe King room for 1 night. It was very well appointed and overlooked a beautiful courtyard. However, it was on the ground floor and the courtyard was quite small in size, meaning that we needed to close the curtains whenever we needed any privacy. The room generally felt quite luxurious. We were celebrating our anniversary and... More

As other reviews say, a lot like France, which given we holiday there a lot could have been a bit bland, however the restaurant changed the pairing wines to local ones and we were happy. Lovely place with nice little touches like cookies at bedtime.

A very relaxing hotel, with excellent service standards. Even better is the restaurant - Auberge, the tasting menu is superb....a Michelin star must be on the way. Breakfast could be better, a confusing inclusive menu means that you have to pat extras for a side of bacon, not good for a hotel of this quality

We had the pleasure to stay in this European elegant hotel. The moment we walked in the manager went out of his way to accommodate our needs. The staff treated us with white glove treatment. The rooms are so charming and the out door patio made me feel as if I was in Bayeux, France. The most charming surprise awaited... More

We stayed one night and were pleased with the room. The staff was extremely accommodating and could not do enough to make the short stay enjoyable. We had breakfast, which was included with the room. The hotel is located in close proximity to the ocean and all the shopping.

They think they're classy, but they're not. I had a most unpleasant experience with the hotel. When I checked in, I was told that the breakfast in Aubergine was included, but apparently that is only for the code-named "signature breakfast" menu. My bill included a $49 breakfast charge. I was surprised and mentioned that I had been told breakfast was... More

We had a great time. The staff is amazing. The rooms are small, but beautiful and the bathrooms are luxurious. It was a romantic setting and perfect for couples. The staff added a beautiful bottle of wine for us to celebrate our anniversary.

We only stayed for one night which due to traveling down to Santa Barbara but in hindsight we should have planned a few extra days in Carmel because it's such a lovely place. Upon arriving we were warmly greeted and the had valet parking although being Carmel it actually meant the car being parked across the road. We stayed in... More

The resort was overpriced and not the best amenities. The drain in the sink was not working! The shower water was so hot! My husband burned himself from the water. I phoned to complain and they said the manger would be right up. ( He never showed up). The carpeting was dirty. They did supply you with a floor cover... More
