This is a very nice and picturesque B&B at Carmel Beach. Well located a few blocks walking distance from the beach and downtown. Rooms are very cozy, each one is identified by a name. They are like little houses in a fairy tale. The service was great. They have a buffet breakfast. It is not a modern B&B but it... More

I just returned from the Green Lantern Inn. The room we had was shabby at best. The furniture was old and scratched up.the chairs were patio wicker needing paint and pads. the windows had no screens and the locks were loose or didn't lock.at all. No A/C or ceiling fan. The fan they did have in the closet was dirty.it... More

I just returned from a trip to Carmel where my friend and I booked a "executive suite" at the Green Lantern Inn Bed and Breakfast. At $309.00 a night I expected a very nice room with sleeping for 4 as advertised. When we arrived, we were given a room with one king bed and told that they had 2 types... More

We had a wonderful stay at this Beautiful cottage style Inn. Best price in Carmel. Very clean, quiet and peaceful. Bed was very comfortable, had wonderful sleeps. Breakfasts are included and they offer a delicious spread of fresh fruit, bagels, jams and frittatas. Delicious complimentary coffee served all day. Perfect location, the beach and downtown are a few steps away.... More

Where shall I start?? We have been coming to the Green Lantern since 1973 and have always found it to be the most charming and hospitable place to stay. Things have changed since it was purchased late last year. The most alarming change has been the exorbitant increase in room rates. While we were willing to overlook some shortcomings at... More

Don’t even think of staying here. You will be disappointed. These accommodations seem really old and tired. We booked an "executive suite" with two beds, and were shown the Pine cottage, which was very small, had a depressingly low ceiling and only one bed. Not what we booked, and entirely unsuitable for me and my daughter. The front desk was... More

I have stayed at the Green Lantern many times over the years. The location is perfect because it is an easy walk to the beach, an easy stroll to town, and it is in a quiet neighborhood. The Inn has retained its charm, but has been refreshed and given new energy by the owner. His staff works very hard to... More

Want to get a taste of what it might be like to live in Carmel? Then stay a night or two here. This place fits right in with the village. Just a few blocks off the Ocean Ave. corridor, the property blends in perfectly with the neighborhood. If your looking for new and modern, then Carmel is not for you.... More

A beautiful B&B located just a few blocks from Carmel's main shopping and restaurant area. Comfortable and not pretentious with ample rooms (bungalows) and nice outside spaces where you can have a snack or lunch. Breakfast is very good (waffle maker a favorite of my 16 year old son) and we were offered a vegetable or ham frittata every morning.... More

Very happy with our stay. Comfortable bed, decent breakfast, awesome location in Carmel. Spacious room. We had Read reviews that mentioned the low doorways and shower heads. We are 6' and 6'6" soI called ahead and good thing. They had put us in a double bed room despite me making my reservation on hotels.com for a queen. So they changed... More
