I have been coming to this Inn for the past 5 years every August and I have to say it is the quietest place to get some sleep. The cabins (I always get the Steinbeck) are in a garden like setting amongst tall trees. You follow a little garden path to your one story cozy retreat. There are fountains, hydrangeas,... More

I stayed from July 28 to August 1st in cottage #21, Ohlone. I booked here because I had my dog and this cottage was one of the pet-friendly ones, so I don't know what it's like to stay in the rooms of the motel building. My cottage was set back from the main motel building, with its own carport, and... More

I've stayed here in the cabins a few times. The hotel is apart from Carmel, but easy to get into town or to take a drive along the coast. The cabins are great, and many are pet friendly. They each have an outdoor sitting area to relax in. The cabins have always been clean and many have recently been updated.

We were coming through Monterrey/Carmel without hotel reservations and found this little place for a decent price on a busy weekend. The customer service was good, the room was good. Sure, it could probably use a little renovation, but for just a decent night's sleep, this place was just fine. No complaints.

I was traveling with my two adult daughters from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I picked this location based on reviews from Trip Advisor and of course the price. It's a great location, right off the hwy and close to Carmel beaches, town shopping and aprox 15-20 mins depending on traffic to Monterey Aquarium etc. The beds were lacking, too... More

When we arrived it was a little deceiving - but don't let that turn you away. The cottages are in the back with beautiful secret gardens. Also swinging hammocks and a romantic hanging swing for 2. The clerk, Maureen, went above and beyond for us. She scanned documents for us and another person printed directions for google maps. They have... More

I was upgraded to room 31. It is a serene cottage with a nice outdoor patio. The room features full bed and single bed. It is huge! So is the bathroom! The room is equipped with a small fridge, microwave, DVD player, coffee station, wine glasses. It has fireplace and bath tub. The location is very good- about 20-30 min... More

Very nice and reasonable stay. Charming. Historical motor lodge updated to include a motel in the 1960's. We didn't stay in the motel, which is closer to the highway, but in a duplex cabin. Very charming with gas fireplace. Some cottages are still being renovated. We enjoyed the private patio, large lawn and greenspace and lots of birdsong. A short... More

This is probably the place to stay if you want a reasonable price and a clean room, but not much else. We stayed in one of the cabins, and from the outside, the cabin looked to be in bad shape. Luckily, the inside was clean and comfortable (but very small). Don't plan on having any view. If you plan on... More

We had stayed at Moonstone properties in Cambria before, but i was shocked to see this place which i had made a reservation for. First it was hard to find since the original road was fenced off and a mailbox was at the end of this road with maps showing how to get to the motel. Once there i was... More
