Beautiful sea views, nice large rooms and bathrooms, excellent restaurant and wonderful staff. Don't be put off by the red victorian lobby. The rooms are older, but very well kept. Loved the older architecture of the rooms.

Carmel is a delightful town - quaint, artistic, relaxed. The Pine Inn is entirely in character - historic, cosy, and located right in the centre of town, allowing strolling to restaurants, galleries and shops. It is modestly priced, compared with some of the high-end accommodations in town. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. Somewhat dated plumbing, but functional.... More

Stayed at the Inn twice in the past six months. We liked the friendly staff, free breakfast, and location. The off street parking lot fills up,early. The rooms had good and not so good features: (+) comfortable beds, bathrooms, lots of towels; (-) rooms are dark, not all of the furniture is comfortable and could not open windows in one... More

My husband chose this hotel for a little getaway and I can't say enough good things about our experience at Pine Inn! Our room had a gorgeous view of the ocean, which gave us some great sunsets. We kept the window open at night so we could hear the surf only a few blocks away. The staff was amazing, which... More

I took my mother to Carmel to celebrate her 80th birthday. Because I booked our room through a web based resource, rather than with the hotel, I was unable to request a room with two beds. When we arrived at the hotel, the room reserved for us had one queen bed. I asked if they could move us to a... More

We stayed at the Pine Inn for two nights to wrap up 2014. The location is right on Ocean Ave, right where you want to be. The parking lot fills up quickly, but we were able to get a spot at 2:30. The hotel certainly has an old school look, but we both liked it. The slanted hallways are really... More

Very Friendly staff. Made our reservation late,so didn't have great choice of rooms. We had 3 very small ones but was ok since we were 3 singles. There are no elevators but they have helpful Bellmen (Milton very helpful). The restaurant was nice.. The best part is the great location, walk all over town. The only negative was the parking. Only... More

Cool, old vintage building. Right close to the main strip. The lobby looks just like the pictures. Room was small but what do you expect? It was confusing to find the entrace with the small courtyard and the parking was difficult to find though, although there was alot available (mid-week).

This is a cool inn it has photos of the inn back in 1902. For this old of a building it is in great shape!! The lobby is fantastic!.. That being said, the rooms are small, not many outlets and appointed well. Surprisingly the bed wasn't very comfortable. With it being part of Il fornio it has great dining options... More
