such great location right in the center of Carmel. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants. Old style hotel, but super cute. Super friendly staff, who made me feel important. Plenty of parking around the hotel Next time i go to Carmel, i will be staying here

Planned a quick, last minute trip to Carmel for spring break and The Pine Inn was still a deal at $159/night. I've stayed at this inn about 4 times now. I have to say, its all in the room. I booked a queen room and was "upgraded" at check in(very charming gentleman evening manager whose name escapes me) to a... More

The pictures on TripAdvisor provide one a good understanding of the property. My wife and two boys (4 & 8) like the historical hotels. This one was the first in Carmel and the most of the furnishings seem the be original. Now, our fear was that the beds and pillows would also be turn of the century. Before the suitcases... More

Pine Inn is a lovely turn of the century hotel with all its charms. We had an ocean view room and could hear the ocean in the evening. It is very easy to walk around the town from the hotel which has makes things more pleasant as parking in town can be challenging. The breakfasts were fantastic, the on site... More

We had a beautiful view of the ocean. The lobby is so different in red. The rooms r dated but Carmel is so nice it did not matter. The breakfast was a 10! The man at the desk was hysterical so that made it fun.

We had booked a room at the sister hotel across the road aiming for a little bit extra from our final hotel-stay before taking an apartment in San Francisco. However our booking (confirmed several months earlier as we are on an extensive trip from the UK) had been mislaid somehow. The room that was available wasn't acceptable. Consequently arrangements were... More

Beautiful sea views, nice large rooms and bathrooms, excellent restaurant and wonderful staff. Don't be put off by the red victorian lobby. The rooms are older, but very well kept. Loved the older architecture of the rooms.

Carmel is a delightful town - quaint, artistic, relaxed. The Pine Inn is entirely in character - historic, cosy, and located right in the centre of town, allowing strolling to restaurants, galleries and shops. It is modestly priced, compared with some of the high-end accommodations in town. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. Somewhat dated plumbing, but functional.... More

Stayed at the Inn twice in the past six months. We liked the friendly staff, free breakfast, and location. The off street parking lot fills up,early. The rooms had good and not so good features: (+) comfortable beds, bathrooms, lots of towels; (-) rooms are dark, not all of the furniture is comfortable and could not open windows in one... More

My husband chose this hotel for a little getaway and I can't say enough good things about our experience at Pine Inn! Our room had a gorgeous view of the ocean, which gave us some great sunsets. We kept the window open at night so we could hear the surf only a few blocks away. The staff was amazing, which... More
