The charm of the Pine Inn surrounds you from the moment you enter the lobby. It reminds one of a kinder, gentler time. The building has been in Carmel for many, many years and the management has kept it in its original Victorian style. The staff of the Inn as well as the restaurant were amazingly helpful. We are anxious... More

Plenty of character and style and a perfect place to stay in Carmel.. Location great and within walking distance to everything on offer in the beautiful town of Carmel. The bar is authentic and a great place to have a beer or glass of wine. The Italian restaurant is a highlight and the pasta dishes were hands down the best... More

It looks nothing from the outside but a single step into the entrance stairs and prepare to be amazed; it's like entering a Victorian mansion. Fortunately we had some porter help with our luggage whilst the car was parked up outside otherwise I would have burnt off some calories dragging it up the stairs. Our room was small by American... I would normally give this four stars for its ambience and comfort situated right in the heart of Carmel but a few things didn't quite sit right. Our room (03) was beautifully appointed and spacious EXCEPT being located next to the restaurant the noise from the refrigeration unit or generator (at least that was what it sounded like!)keep me awake... Last night of our vacation. Booked a $215 (without tax) room for 2 at the Pine Inn based on Trip Advisor reviews and its great central location in Carmel. Lobby is velvet red and Victorian pretty. Check in was easy because we got a parking space early- not enough spaces for all guests and other patrons were understandably angry. We're... More

I needed to change to a triple when my young niece wanted to join her older cousin and me. Our room was an l-shaped suite with 2 queen sized canopy beds and a large sitting area with a sofa bed. The bathroom was huge with jacuzzi tub and a rainfall shower. Breakfast was served in the onsite restaurant, Il Fornaio,... More

On a recent trip to Pinnacles and Carmel, I stayed at the Pine Inn in downtown Carmel just about 3 blocks to the popular beach. I was placed in a room, that because of where it was situated, was not a good room for me. I have an extremely sensitive nose and the aromas in this room were entirely overwhelming... More

Stayed 2 nights at The Pine Inn during our Californian road trip vacation. Reception staff very friendly and very helpful. Our first morning's breakfast was complimentary and the second day was brunch with 10% off which was very reasonable. Both breakfast and brunch very good. Room was comfortable and clean but a bit tired. The slanting floors were a bit... More

This hotel was built around 1903 and has slanted floors and smaller rooms, but is a very pleasant place to spend a night or two as it is right in the center of Carmel. The room was clean, front desk was very helpful, they have a parking lot behind the hotel and across the street, and the free breakfast is... More

The most interesting thing about Pine Inn is the stories of what it used to be, in its day. The stories of old are intriguing but now, I would say keep looking, probably do your research first or risk being disappointed. We have been flying here once a month this season, and know how expensive Carmel By The Sea, the... More
