Well located on the main drag. Decorated with antiques and dark woods. Rooms are small, but who stays in them. No elevator to the second floor so you climb the carpeted stairs. Close to the Hog's Breath Inn and Casanovas French Restaurant. Good for the money.

Very good location in the centre of Carmel, but don't get room 21! It is listed as a double, but there is just room for a double bed and very little else. We even struggled to find a home for the suitcases.

We made a last minute decision to stay in Carmel. Rooms were scarce as it is high season. [We have stayed at Tickle Pink other occasions.]Our room was on the 3rd floor (I requested 2nd) and had a nice view of the ocean. Housekeepers do a nice job but you can only do so much with tattered bedding. Breakfast was... More

We have been staying at the Pine Inn for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. John Lloyd and his staff are always very friendly and helpful. The staff have always made us feel very welcome and appreciated. The hotel and rooms are always clean and fresh. I have actually driven 50 miles out of the way to stay... More

A lovely hotel, so comfortable and quaint, in the centre of Carmel. Sumptuous furnishings and comfortable room, fantastic breakfast, amazing selection, hot and cold. Carmel is a beautiful and here you are in the centre, close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and there is a car park.

We stayed here July 22nd in room 311. From check-in to check-out we had a wonderful experience. When we arrived our room was not ready but the front desk got with housekeeping to make sure someone would get it ready right away. We had to wait about 45 minutes but was worth the wait. Room beautiful, roomy and had a... More

Such a lovely - though not inexpensive - hotel with plush rooms and an historic feel. Totally recommendable for couples wishing to experience a special time in one of the most beautiful and quaint little cities on earth, Carmel-by-the-sea ❤️❤️❤️

The Pine Inn is the oldest hotel in Carmel. The lobby is fabulous, the rooms are functional. We stayed on a weekend so we didn't get breakfast, but they provide coupons for Il Fornaio, which worked just fine. We paid extra for an ocean view. You can see the ocean, but it is a bit of a stretch. The room... More

For location and history, this place cannot be beat. Also, one of the best hotel breakfasts period. Bar none. Whenever we stay at a hotel we always choose properties that include breakfast, and Pine Inn's breakfast, served in the dining room of their on-site restaurant, Il Fornaio, was head and shoulders above the rest. Eggs, gourmet bacon, French toast, an... More

We have stayed several times at the Pine Inn. You can't beat the location, right on the main drag close to everything in Carmel. The hotel is a relic, but a fun one, of a bygone era. It keeps its historic charm. That means that, though the rooms have modern conveniences and are decorated in period styles, you won't find... More
