Very nice old Inn, a rabbit warren of rooms and shops, but spotless rooms and friendly staff. We had room 37 - and the window coverings were insufficient to keep the light out which was our only complaint. Nice reception lobby, good breakfast... Book.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one night on route to San Francisco , the rooms were very nice but a touch old fashioned , they did not have a/c in them though they did have a ceiling fan and a pedestal fan .The car park for the hotel was across the road from it and you... More

My wife & I always visit Carmel By-The-Sea when we're in California. In 2010 we stayed at The Pine Inn & thankfully we didn't have the same room again (very small). There isn't an elevator at this hotel so if you struggle with stairs then make sure you get a ground floor room. Our room also didn't have a safe,... More

We stayed just one night on our way to big sur. The welcome was great and checkin was fast. They offered to help with the bags but we declined only to discover no lifts in the building. The room was clean and pleasant but the style is old fashioned Mexican/spanish which makes its charming. The location is fantastic near the... More

My husband and I put together a spur-of-the-moment five day trip two weeks ago. Three of the nights were to be in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Accommodations were hard to find at such short notice but we managed to secure a booking at the Pine Inn. We knew the hotel was located right in the heart of this storied village but knew nothing... This is an historic hotel in the very center of Carmel village, on Ocean Ave that runs from the highway down to the beach. It is charming and the front desk staff are very accommodating. The rooms are vintage but have been updated with new bathrooms, decor and fixtures. The beds were very nice. Funny to read Brits complaining of... More

We had a 2 night stay here on our way to San Francisco and I would highly recommend it. Its in a great location right in the centre of Carmel and walking distance to the beach. The room we stayed in was a family suite and was clean and attractive. The staff were friendly and was a great experience.

Well located on the main drag. Decorated with antiques and dark woods. Rooms are small, but who stays in them. No elevator to the second floor so you climb the carpeted stairs. Close to the Hog's Breath Inn and Casanovas French Restaurant. Good for the money.

Very good location in the centre of Carmel, but don't get room 21! It is listed as a double, but there is just room for a double bed and very little else. We even struggled to find a home for the suitcases.

We made a last minute decision to stay in Carmel. Rooms were scarce as it is high season. [We have stayed at Tickle Pink other occasions.]Our room was on the 3rd floor (I requested 2nd) and had a nice view of the ocean. Housekeepers do a nice job but you can only do so much with tattered bedding. Breakfast was... More
