We stayed at the Lobos Lodge for two nights on October 26th & 27th. The location is terrific. It's an easy walk to the shops, restaurants and beach. The room decor was a bit dated, kind of 70s retro style which isn't a huge deal; but with the price we paid ($175.00 per night) we feel like it was a... More

Very disappointed that after driving for hours from So.Cal fires to find out that the last rooms were priced at $280 for two adults and a child. I have stayed at this hotel before, always in the low $100's, so when I saw a penciled-in price given to me by the 2 hotel managers, I was very disappointed. Will never... More

We spent one night in Lobos Lodge on our trip through California and could not fault it. I can't remember the room number but it was on the top level and had a view of the sea from the balcony and the main street from the bedroom..... beautiful. The only issue were all the steps up to the room. The... More

We stayed at Lobos Lodge in September. We arrived in Carmel without a hotel booking and were first attracted by its central location. We inspected other hotels before deciding on this one. I've since looked at the website and agree with other reviewers that the photos don't do it justice. We stayed in room 32 at $120 per night including... More

My husband and I recently stayed in room 44 and really enjoyed the hotel. During our recent trip to California, this was the hotel that I was the most nervous about but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very very clean and the pictures made the hotel look dated, but our room/bathroom felt very new and clean. I'm a clean... More

This was our least favorite lodging during our trip to the area. The property is nicely maintained however the rooms are a bit old. The rooms are very spacious with a living, large bathroom, and sleeping areas. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable at all and there is no AC! We were on the first floor and therefore... While I am not sure what I was expecting, my two teenagers and I stayed in Room 51. It was spacious and well lit. We had a queen, a built in bunk and a hide away if we had wanted it. Breakfast was brought to the room and coffee provided. (I like my coffee strong and was satisfied; real coffee... More

When we arrived, I had a few questions for the front desk and they seemed somewhat annoyed to help other than to give me a map. The room was ok. The shower area was ok -- not super clean and a little dark. The blankets on the bed had stains on them so we took them off and just slept... More

I visited Lobos Lodge for the 2nd time--this time with 2 colleagues for a conference. The 3 of us were up and getting ready, drying our hair, etc. when a fuse blew. There was no electricity in the entire room. We rang the night bell and also called the office and there was no response...we were desperate for electricity...so we... More

We stayed in room 22, which is on the ground floor over in the corner. The downside is that it's on the main street and the sound proofing is non-existent. Therefore every vehicle and passing pedestrian can be heard as if they were in the room. Also the TV noise from adjacent co-joined rooms can be very intrusive. The location... More
