The Mission Ranch, owned by Clint Eastwood, is peaceful, quiet, homey, and in a perfect spot. There's an on site restaurant with bar where locals and tourists mingle together and talk late into the night. The food is excellent and staff were friendly, but not overly so. The rooms are cottage like and cozy. We stayed in one with a... More

Just spent a long weekend here for a wedding. It truly is a beautiful venue. The wedding party took up almost the entire place for both Friday and Saturday but I also got a bonus night in on Thursday. The rooms are all very different. My friend and I started out sharing room 14 - one of the basic double... More

We were a party of 5 and we spent 4 days at the MR. We loved our stay and the property is absolutely gorgeous!!!! The staff is friendly and welcoming, the rooms have character besides being spotless and comforting. I had my birthday dinner at the restaurant of the property and it was a memorable experience! I hope we could... More

Our family of 3 stayed in a Meadow Fourplex with an outside patio deck. The room had paneled ceilings, a working gas fireplace, a whirlpool tub and an amazing view of the hills, ocean and small flocks of sheep. There was a very friendly blue jay who came up to perch on our hands on heads on command. Walking distance... More

We stayed in one of the triplex units overlooking the sheep paddock. The setting is perfect - on a slope with large trees on the edge of Carmel. A little far from the center to easily walk into town, and don't try at nighttime - there is no street lighting and no sidewalks! Parking is relatively easy in town for... More

We were married on 11.11.2014 in Coronado, California and drove up the coast to Carmel by the Sea to stay at the Mission Ranch owned by Clint Eastwood. We checked in after dark for 2 nights. After taking our luggage up to our bungalow #19 we went to the restaurant housed in another building. We were seated quickly, however our... More

Our latest stay was our second at Mission Ranch. For many years we enjoyed the warm, friendly atmosphere of Mission Ranch restaurant and only last year decided to stay on the property. The room we chose for both stays was 22 in the meadow view triplex. The rooms are old, rustic but very well maintained, comfortable and warm. Our room... More

The Mission Ranch is charming! Some of the fixtures are old (we had two different hotel rooms) - but clean and nicely appointed. The feel is bucolic, beautiful sweeping views with the sheep grazing...yes and one black sheep too. We opened our sliding door in the morning and they were outside our deck. The staff was very friendly and attentive.... More
