The Mission Ranch is charming! Some of the fixtures are old (we had two different hotel rooms) - but clean and nicely appointed. The feel is bucolic, beautiful sweeping views with the sheep grazing...yes and one black sheep too. We opened our sliding door in the morning and they were outside our deck. The staff was very friendly and attentive.... More

When the weather is good there is not much better than sitting on the deck of the Mission Ranch restaurant out back looking over the meadow to the ocean. We found the rooms to be nice and clean with everything we needed. We stayed in the basic room in the barn which is very affordable in Carmel terms and the... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in the first week of November. We stayed in a king size room on the second floor. What a great view of the sheep grazing area and also of the water and beach a short distance away. And, an easy walk to the Carmel Mission. Our room was spacious and nicely... More

Stayed three nights. Short notice booking so we were made aware we would have to change room after one night. This change was facilitated excellently by staff. Both our rooms were spacious and well appointed. The rooms, being in old wooden buildings are rustic but kept very clean with comfortable beds. Bathrooms functional and clean with powerful showers. Gardens are... More

Went over to see place, tried getting a drink. Staff said sit anywhere inside or out that was not reserved. All appeared reserved, staff not to interested in whether we stayed or left. Outside seats had a view of a sheep herd. So we left.

We recently completed an 8 day trip though Sonoma, Monterey & San Francisco. My wife had never been to Monterey/Carmel so we drove there for for one night before going to SF. I had been there years ago and stayed in Monterey and remembered it being not so wonderful. but I booked a hotel there thinking that it would cost... More

Stayed at the Mission Ranch at the beginning of October and was pleasantly surprised to find a very quaint and relaxing place. After reading some of the bad reviews and seeing the very affordable price, I was somewhat reluctant to make a reservation here. However, I was very happy with my decision. It was our first trip to California and... More

W hat a nice oasis. Fabulous patio, great food with option all evening of ordering from bar menu or dinner menu. Sometimes that dinner menu can be a little on the pricy side, so having an option is great. Piano player. First timer, but it looks like a lot of old friends meet and have a great time. Certainly a... More

This Hotel is a lovely corner in the Carmel area in California. When you arrive, you do start feeling calm, quiet, with no worries at all. And as long as the days pass by, that wonderful feeling increases 100% ! The old small houses where the guests stay transport you to the end of the 19th Century. All of them... More
