The back porch/bar area is a great place to hang out before 5pm dinner. The prime rib was excellent and watching the sheep in the pastor was relaxing. The Mission Ranch is worth stopping in for dinner and also walking the grounds to see all the old buildings and well maintained landscape.

We haven't even stayed there yet and were thinking it's a no! We're in the process of planning our 20th Anniversary trip so I called to ask if they had any openings for our date. He told me yes, so then I asked if had any recommendations between the two that we were interested. His response to me was "you'll... More

We recently stayed at the Mission Ranch being drawn to the stunning location. This was the only highlight of the stay. We chose the Meadow View Triplex overlooking the meadow, down to the sea. The description sounded breathtaking, what we found was a very very old uncomfortable well used king sized bed, with foam pillows. A 10inch TV. A bathroom... More

We met at the Mission Ranch more than 50 years ago. In March of 2013, we came to Monterey for a funeral and went to see the MR again. It looked wonderful and we committed to coming back for a stay. While their rate card stated "based on double occupancy" we were very disappointed to find only one comfortable chair... More

Stayed here while traveling the coastline from San Francisco to San Diego. Definitely one of our favorite stops! From the friendly staff to the comfortable rooms and the great food and wine this became a favorite stop for us. Absolutely beautiful scenery and just loved this place. Would stop again if given the chance!

Located between the historic Carmel Mission ( Route 1) and the Pacific Ocean, the Mission Inn offers a retreat experience or acts as a good travel base for the Carmel, Monterey, Pacific Grove area. Tennis, good food, scenic walks or just watching the "adorable sheep", listening to the wind blow thru the eucalyptus trees are all options.............of how to enjoy... More

My husband and I took a week to travel down the PCH, and this was one of our stops. I definitely would have enjoyed staying here for more than one night - maybe next trip. Our room was in the main barn and I agree with another poster that it felt like staying at my grandmother's house. It was so... More

We stayed in the farmhouse. Narrow stairs led to our 2nd floor room, no problem for us and our small bags, but it might pose a problem for older guests with larger bags. The room was small but comfortable. I agree with reviewers stating it was like staying at grandma's house. The deck overlooking the meadow opened at 4 pm,... More

Had dinner here - can't make a reservation here but off we went to try our luck. They said it would be 1 hour plus wait but there was a great pianist in the bar area so we settled at the bar with cocktails but were called within 20 minutes! We had a great meal here and very reasonable in this... More

I had a two day trip to Carmel planned and didn't want to stay in one of the over-priced, usually tacky dolled-up motels in Carmel. I decided to stay at Mission Ranch, the property bought several years ago by Clint Eastwood in order to protect the land. I stayed in the Farm House in a queen-bedded room. It definitely had... More
