I had a very pleasant and complete brunch ($40 per person, drinks included) in a bucolic environment. The place was very busy, but the staff was great. The view was gorgeous and food delicious. They have live music (piano + drums) that give a plus to the place. Not loud, just perfect. I strongly recommend.

Mission Ranch is a hotel consisting of a series of separate buildings overlooking a pasture and with views of the Pacific Ocean nearby. It is such a peaceful and restful place and a great place for a weekend get-away. Downtown Carmel is a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Regrettably, the rooms are showing their age but you can't beat... More

We recently spent the most wonderful weekend at Mission Ranch helping friends celebrate their 45th anniversary. We have visited here many times for dinner and drinks on the Patio over looking the grazing sheep and the crashing ocean surf; but this was the first time we stayed overnight. There aren't enough superlatives to describe the experience, this is one very... More

We have stayed here a number of times over the last 15 years and it is hard to beat. We are now more budget minded so our recent stay was in Room 12 in the Barn. The room was small but well worth the cost considering the options for this area. The grounds are well maintained with a magnificent view... More

This is a group of small buildings scattered about on a large piece of property. We were in the last bungalow, next to an elementary school. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean, the beach, the pastures and its sheep herd, the the magnificent coast. We sat on our porch and took it easy. The on premise bar and... More

Scenic waterfront view with very good food. The crowd is made up, generally, of local regulars. The seafood was fresh and flavorful and the service was pleasant. A local go-to for folks in Carmel. This is definitely worth the visit of in or around the area.

We stayed in one of the least expensive rooms next to the office ("main barn") and found the room fairly small but cozy and well appointed for our three night visit. You park right next your room. We had a king bed and took advantage of the small refrigerator for some snacks and drinks we brought. The room (really all... More

Only stayed one night and could have easily extended time. Felt like "old California" -- rustic, quiet and beautiful. Loved the huge eucalyptus trees, the sheep pasture and aromatic flowers. Had a drink at the bar, ate at morning breakfast buffet -- both were good. Enjoyed sitting on balcony at night time the most.

I only gave it an average as its average for Carmel but Carmel itself is stunning as are the towns around it so thats what I meant. We came here 3 times for drinks and dinner, once brunch on Sunday morning. My friend is a chef and she wasnt impressed at all. I however did like it. She found it... More

Our family took a whole house together for a big event and we loved it. Comfortable, pretty room; lovely common spaces good combination of privacy and places to hang out together. The property is gorgeous, nice walks in the area, and it's an easy drive to lots of sights and restaurants. Highly recommended.
