What a great location !!!!!!!!! Enjoyed our three nights enormously, but the food could have been better. A very well thought out and very well run hotel to match the fantastic views. Would definitely stay again and again.

We stayed here for one night while making the drive from LA to San Francisco. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the location is peaceful and pretty with views of the sheep pasture and the river. Check in went smoothly. (This place uses old-fashioned keys and has a credit card machine that uses carbons!) We booked two rooms---meadowview triplexes. The... More

We've been to Mission Ranch many times before and it never disappoints. Because it's owned by Clint Eastwood, you could be led to believe that's it's somehow gimmicky or touristy, but it's not. You can't book so first come, first served suggests that you arrive early for dinner (5.30 to 6 pm) to be assured of a nice table. We... More

Lovely location and quaint rooms, but the staff didn't get the memo to be courteous and friendly. Gruff desk staff, horribly grumpy waitress for our $750 meal (gratuity included of course) and a less than accomodating late check out (on a Monday) We stayed in room 26 and definitely heard the Pledge of Allegiance along with 15 minutes of school... Best meal so far. Ate outside, lovely and warm with lots of patio heaters and a fire. Atmosphere was great, helped by a wedding party in the adjoining building with enough fantastic music to keep the son and daughter entertained and longing to go out when back home for another good time! Food was wonderful.

This resort is owned by Clint Eastwood and is unique even for Carmel. It only has 31 rooms so reservations can be difficult to get on weekends. Each room is different and they are located in clusters around the property. The room rates are very reasonable for the location and run from $140 to $325 per night. The honeymoon cottage... More

We were excited to be in Mission Ranch, it is all beautiful, quiet, our bedroom was small but very charming all was good. And then breakfast arrived and we were a little disappointed. We thought breakfast will be something else. But it is still a 4/5. Go for it but have no expectations about breakfast.

Clint done real good. Saving this historic . This is set in a magical spot, a beautful lagoon. Sitting outside is enjoyable. The service was great. I had a huge, perfectly prepared and juicy steak. Wonderful experience.

I cannot say enough good things about the Ranch. First off, it is so stunningly beautiful....sipping wine on the patio overlooking the sheep pasture and hearing the ocean waves in the background was a true bit of paradise found. The staff was fabulous....the food at the Ranch restaurant was beyond delicious...breakfast was lovely as well. The grounds and buildings are... More

Great location. Nice rooms Old fashioned rooms with country feel. I did feel update of some aspects would be beneficial , paint chipped etc in room. Poor amount of products in bathroom for our use as we had not brought any with us , and only enough tea and milk for one cup per day. Restaurant staff and hostesses left... More
