My husband and I stayed at the Sandpiper Inn last Saturday night. We stayed in room #11 and our room had a nice little view of the Bay. We would stay there again. The Inn staff were helpful in providing suggestions for dinner in a local Italian restaurant. We enjoyed meeting the other guests during breakfast and the afternoon dessert... More

We basically stumbled upon this place while driving down the Pacific coast with no definite plans to stay in Carmel. We found this inn, which was the closest to the beach. The rooms were small, but nice - you can see (and hear) the ocean from the second floor. There was no A/C, but it was not needed because Carmel... More

First of all, make sure you have a gps(waze) or get here before dark. There are no street lights in Carmel and its really dark driving at night. But once you do get here , wow! The whole place is very nicely decorated. We got room 16, a nice corner room for 3 person with its own entrance and has... More

This was our first time to Carmel and it was breathe taking! This place was not far from the village and was walking distance to the beach! We stayed in Room 10 and it was so cute! My husband and I both enjoyed it. With the windows open you can easily hear the ocean! We also enjoyed the fireplace that... More

From now on, this is our choice when we go to Carmel.....lovely place and so close to the ocean. We could hear it at night from our open window. We just loved this place. The lobby was very cozy plus a fine breakfast.

Great location away from the busy town center but an easy 20min walk. Tastefully decorated rooms, very helpful staff, adequate car parking, delicious breakfast and lovely afternoon tea. We stayed in cottage 15 which was lovely but a little small if you have large suitcases, perfect of a weekend escape. I would love to come back here and stay a... More

We didn't have enough time in this wonderful B&B! This is one of the only places in Carmel that is tucked into the neighborhood, a bit farther from the town center but just a block away from the ocean. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Although the room (#8) was pretty cozy, we had a beautiful view of the ocean... More

We spent 4 nights in Room 4 facing front to view of garden; also, tiny view of ocean. Small but decorated lovely with a mix of victorian and traditional furniture. Private hall (in-suite) led to a very nicely done bathroom with marble-top vanity. At night, could hear the ocean. Extended stay 1 night to Room 3. Smaller but also very... More

We spend two nights at this lovely B&B. It is only about a 5 minute walk to Carmel beach where you can walk along the scenic pathway along the ocean. We stayed in Room 15 which is more of a cottage style cabin with a skylight. The room was large enough, clean and felt like we were in our own... More

This is an attractive inn about a block from the ocean. We had a small room the first night because of limited availability, and a lovely room with 2 comfortable armchairs and an ocean view (rm 11) the second night. "Ocean view" is limited ... intervening houses and trees. My only criticism of the rooms was the lack of AC.... More
