I spent three nights at this B&B in July and was reminded of how homey and comfy the place is and how quiet. Because Sandpiper is not in the middle of town but out by the shore, it feels more like a home than a hotel. That is enhanced by the very friendly, welcoming staff who remember me from year... More

We just returned from a two night stay at the Sandpiper. We had to get up early both days so we missed the breakfast so I can't say anything about that. We stayed in room 4 and it had a lovely fireplace and sitting area and a hall to the private bath. The antique dresser and headboard were very quaint.... More

I stayed at a suite for 3 nights, this place has very good personal service in the morining, they offer continental breakfast in the hotel, the place is perfectly clean and all the staff are friendly always. This is the kind of place that makes you feel at home. The location is great, far away from the main road to... More

While all the standard conditions are easily met--cleanliness, friendly & professional staff, relaxing & quiet atmosphere, wifi--the Sandpiper Inn is a great value B&B for both its location and a high quality breakfast spread. We left the windows open to enjoy the sound of the ocean. Tide pools were a 5-minute walk away. Although a car would be helpful to... More

Such a cute B&B. The staff were so lovely. The inn was about a 20 minute walk from the heart of Carmel, but worth it - right off the beach, quiet and so comfortable. It was the best sleep we had on our road trip! Breakfast was also surprisingly hearty.

We really enjoyed this charming place and I had my doubts as I typically go with the tried and true larger chains. There is no air conditioning although there are fans available if you ask. I would have suggested keeping one in the closet in each room but its available downstairs. The neighborhood is very quiet and you can choose... More

We stayed at the Sandpiper Inn for only one night, and as soon as we arrived, we regretted not having booked a longer stay -feeling which increased once we discovered the beautiful Carmel beach! The staff was really friendly, and when we arrived, around 6'30pm, it was coffee & (delicious) cookies time! That was a good beginning after a long... More

Arrived to a room that had six large pet urine stains on the carpeting. Room smelled of urine. Immediately went to office to request another room. What I was told is comical-- "we are sold out, so we can't switch your room. If you would have arrived earlier, we could have switched your room". When I arrived at 6pm, The... More

We wish we had time to spend more than just one night here, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It is a fantastic location, just a block from the beach, and some rooms offer a great view of the beach. The bedroom was comfortable and the living room, dining room and outdoor seating areas offer many places to relax. The... More

We knew it was near the ocean, but we did not expect a full, delicious, homemade breakfast! Now we know why several of our trusted friends always choose to stay at a bed and breakfast, rather than at a hotel!
