Such a cute B&B. The staff were so lovely. The inn was about a 20 minute walk from the heart of Carmel, but worth it - right off the beach, quiet and so comfortable. It was the best sleep we had on our road trip! Breakfast was also surprisingly hearty.

We really enjoyed this charming place and I had my doubts as I typically go with the tried and true larger chains. There is no air conditioning although there are fans available if you ask. I would have suggested keeping one in the closet in each room but its available downstairs. The neighborhood is very quiet and you can choose... More

We stayed at the Sandpiper Inn for only one night, and as soon as we arrived, we regretted not having booked a longer stay -feeling which increased once we discovered the beautiful Carmel beach! The staff was really friendly, and when we arrived, around 6'30pm, it was coffee & (delicious) cookies time! That was a good beginning after a long... More

Arrived to a room that had six large pet urine stains on the carpeting. Room smelled of urine. Immediately went to office to request another room. What I was told is comical-- "we are sold out, so we can't switch your room. If you would have arrived earlier, we could have switched your room". When I arrived at 6pm, The... More

We wish we had time to spend more than just one night here, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It is a fantastic location, just a block from the beach, and some rooms offer a great view of the beach. The bedroom was comfortable and the living room, dining room and outdoor seating areas offer many places to relax. The... More

We knew it was near the ocean, but we did not expect a full, delicious, homemade breakfast! Now we know why several of our trusted friends always choose to stay at a bed and breakfast, rather than at a hotel!

This B&B is very charming and located just a block away from the ocean. The rooms are very nice; no TV. Breakfast was OK - quiche, pastries, coffee, orange juice. The main problem I had with the Inn is that the host was very curt and I didn't feel all that welcomed. He made sure we had a map of... More

The location was great so close to the beach about a half hour or less walking distance to the downtown area which we didn't mind because we loved looking at the beautiful homes. Inn was very clean, beautiful, warm, great amenities. One of the best we have stayed at. Breakfast was a very delicious quiche and some other things. The... More

We enjoyed staying at this place. It was very clean, staff were courteous but not intruding. The room was a bit small but the main sitting area was tastefully decorated and very fitting to the Carmel atmosphere as a "Normandy style" village. Cozy fireplace, nice and relaxing music, good breakfast...Being close to the beach was great! It was a bit... More

We stayed 1 night in Carmel on our way from SFO to LA. The staff were friendly and helpful. Afternoon tea and cakes greeted our arrival which was a very welcome sight after a long drive. The room was small but clean. The storing of the hairdryers in a hall cupboard seemed a bit quirky and unnecessary. The continental breakfast... More
