This is our second Christmas at The Cypress Inn. We travel with our small dog and he receives as much attention as we do. It's warm and friendly and the staff bends over backwards to make your stay both comfortable and memorable. The restaurant is first class and again, the staff (most particularly Drago, the manager) will do whatever they... More

The concierge was extremely patient and very helpful, and the setting, romantic. The place was wonderfully relaxing, peaceful, and charming, and its continental breakfast is one of the best I've experienced, with scrambled eggs that haven't gone cold, fresh popovers, fresh fruit, and good-quality coffee. The sun was out both days, and being able to walk to so many fabulous... More

Cypress Inn is such a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! Rooms were very clean, service was outstanding, food tasty, and the best part.....you can bring your doggie with you and the rooms do not smell like dog at all! I would love to know their secret!!! I love boutiquey style hotels and this one definitely... More

Could not be more accommodating. Checked in with my husband and two Portuguese Water dogs. They had two dog bowls waiting in our room. They provided us with a list of dog friendly restaurants in town, as well as dog sitters if we needed one. The room was updated and very clean for a hotel that accommodates dogs. We had... More

Beautiful hotel with quaint rooms. Amazing service by the friendly staff. In the heart of town with walking distance to shops and the beach. A dog friendly hotel which is fun, however, our room smelled slightly like an animal upon check in. Front desk politely and promptly addressed the situation. Overall, great hotel. I would stay again and recommend it... More

I had heard about this Inn that caters to people with dogs for many years...Love dogs, wanted to try it and did so this past weekend. The food was great, the restaurant and maid service, excellent. The lounge is quit nice, like a mini-Wawona and the entertainment and comfort is indeed nice. The parking is dreadful, but then again, much... More

My husband and I stayed at the Cypress Inn in July 2010 and had a very pleasant stay. Being a fan of Doris day and dogs, it seemed like the perfect combination. We were very well looked after and very much enjoyed afternoon tea. Being in our early 30's, we were a little out of place in the hotel, as... More

Lovely Inn in the center of everything Carmel. Wonderful service, nice jazz duo in the lounge only negative is that it was a bit noisy from both inside the hotel and outside street noise. All in all great place. Be prepared for lots of dogs which makes for interesting conversations.

I spent two nights only in the marvellous Cypress Inn but I left the hotel with a reservation in my pocket for next Spring... The staff and the building itself along with the rooms are elegant and old fashioned. The atmosphere is more for the grown up with manners than to teens or lousy travellers. The place is a must...
