What can I say; the enthusiastic welcome from the fantastic Kahili in reception who kindly upgraded us to a wonderful corner junior suite filled with light and fabulous furnishings and original crittle windows. John the maintenance man who fixed our safe could not have been more helpful. The bar and restaurant manager was certainly the star of the show and... More

The tower suite at the Cypress is my favorite. This is the most private and quiet space in the hotel. It is on 2 levels- a sitting room with ocean views and wrap around windows on top and the bedroom and bath down below. Originally, the bedroom was on top and this was my preference. Be sure to enjoy a... More

We have stayed here three times in the past year. We love the hotel. It has a real classic, classy beauty. The staff at the hotel is very nice, and we love that they are so pet friendly. Because it is not a "new" hotel, some rooms are small. We have stayed in three different rooms. By far the best... More

We stayed here for a few days while at a conference in Carmel. Overall, the place was ok but I would not stay here again given the other options in the city. PROS 1) Great location 2) Free breakfast (fruit, eggs, pastries, good coffee) 3) Suites are awesome with little patios - much more expensive but the best option at... More

The Cypress Inn is such a special place to stay. The inn is rich with history and it is so fun for us to bring our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We always see so many beautiful dogs and ours feels right at home. The rooms are not over the top, but lovely enough. The location is extremely central to downtown... More

We stayed at the Cypress Inn for my husband's birthday and once again the hotel was fantastic! Randy was wonderful as we checked in, the entire staff was as friendly as if we'd been friends for years, and the room was spectacular again. We will be back many times in the future. Thank you to everyone at the Cypress Inn... More

The Cypress Inn the best hotel we have stayed in North Americas. My wife and I generally seek out those with 20 rooms or less. This was our first trip to Carmel and the mgmt and staff made us feel completely at home. The Cypress Inn was built in 1929 and kept it's charm for all these years. It was... More

We take our bird (cockatoo) with us when we travel and Cypress Inn was great about letting us stay there. They are extremely pet-friendly (even provided a blanket, biscuit, and bowl -- even although our bird didn't use them), even having a pet-friendly lounge where we had drinks one night and dinner the next. Plenty of friendly people with well-behaved... More

We stayed here for 3 days this past 4th of July. This is a cute hotel within walking distance to everything and VERY dog friendly. The PROS: We had room 217 and it has a great balcony. The room was very clean despite the number of dogs in the hotel which was great. Housekeeping was also very prompt - almost... More
