A step back in time is what meets you as soon as you walk in the door. There may be newer, posher, and more modern accommodations available, but nothing beats the charm and the joy of having your dog join you for "YAPPY HOUR" or dinner in the lounge or outside patio. The staff is helpful and accommodating and make... More

Have stayed here a couple times, go for dinner at the Cypress even when I am not staying at Cypress. Has all the intricate details to make anyone's stay memorable. Such character, great staff and superb service. Don't drive by this great location!!

We always hate to leave this beautiful hotel and staff. We can't wait to return real soon with my Rosie (Wheaten Terrier). And their restaurant menu is delicious. It keeps getting better and better each time.

We arrived late for our stay in The Cypress Inn. Had I known it would be as charming and warm as it is, I would have rushed the kids and hubby to leave The Sequoia Ntnl Park earlier! As we arrived, Randy welcomed us with a great smile and made sure we got very nice rooms next to each other.... More

Almost 17 years ago we visited the Cypress Inn and vowed to return. There were no vacancies our last visit to Carmel so we didn't get there till now. It is still the coziest most convenient of hotels. The rooms are generally small; very European, but clean and lovely. The beds are comfy and one of our pet peeves is... More

You will love the ambiance, hanging out in the living room, cocktails at Terry's and the fresh popovers for breakfast (included!). The Inn is located pretty much in the middle of the village so wandering around or walking to other restaurants is easy. It is a lovely place to stay. Though we didn't imbibe, I believe that as a decanter... More

Katherine, Thank you for your wonderful review! I am glad to see you enjoyed breakfast in Terry's (including our amazing popovers) and enjoyed the four-legged friends that you encountered during your stay. The decanter in your room offers cream sherry which is complimentary... a perfect way to end your day in Carmel! We look forward to welcoming you back soon! More

An excellent get away weekend at the Cypress Inn that we enjoyed totally. We also enjoy the dog-friendly environment (even though we do not ourselves have a do anymore). The staff were very helpful to obtain dinner reservations at Casanova's.

If you are looking for a pet friendly, comfortable hotel, in a great location this is it. The staff are excellent at looking after guests & the dining / cocktails are good value in a cosy, friendly setting.

Excellent place to stay. We went to Carmel for our honeymoon 47 years ago, so Carmel holds a special p,ace in our hearts. We did not stay the Cypress Inn on our honeymoon, but we will definitely be back to this place for special occasions.

Our two German Shepherd dogs are seasoned travelers, but this is the easiest hotel to stay with dogs, which we have experienced. There were dogs, big and small, everywhere (except in the restaurant), and all were well behaved! The patio is great for lunch, drinks, dinner. Rooms could be more spacious, though.
