This is a lovely small hotel. There is a beautiful courtyard and we listened to a trio playing lovely music. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Its an older hotel but the rooms are cozy and location is wonderful. They served a delicious buffet breakfast with hot popovers. There were many dogs but all were well behaved.

Located in the heart of town, and one of the first dog-friendly hotels in Cal. Friday night happy hour is amazing...not just for the guests but for the parade of dogs of every breed allowed in the happy hour space. Rooms are a bit old and small. Owned by Doris day (now near 90) there are screens showing all of... More

I can't say enough good things about The Cypress Inn. I took my husband and our favorite dog to celebrate their birthdays this month. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, we were treated like we were special. Our room was quaint, clean and quiet. The Inn provides a dog bowl and a throw to put on... More

So quaint, loved just sitting in the beautiful living room lobby, the bar, garden. Breakfast was out of this world, fresh out of the oven popovers were to die for. My daughter and I absolutely loved the Cypress Inn. And "Must Love Dogs", they are everywhere!

This hotel knows how to train and treat their staff. Excellent service from the moment I walked into the lobby. Was greeted by my name at the front desk and throughout my entire stay. I was fortunate enough to be greeted by the GM as well, Crystal Petersson. What a breath of fresh air. Your hotel won me over and... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Cypress Inn for 2 nights at the beginning of our anniversary trip. This hotel is SO charming and quaint! We booked a standard queen room to save on some money, but we had everything we needed to stay cozy & comfortable. There is NO AC here! We knew this beforehand...the fans they provide... More

We absolutely loved this Inn. My husband and I just visited for our 20th anniversary. Our plane was delayed and upon our very late arrival, the night concierge could not have been nicer. He settled us in and made a dinner reservation in the hotel restaurant for one hour later to relieve our stress. This was the perfect example of... More

Ideal location, charming space, exceptionally nice and accommodating staff. A group of over 20 of us stayed there for 5 days for a wedding-- it was perfect. Breakfast was excellent as well, hot popovers and other baked goods along with perfectly cooked eggs and fresh squeezed orange juice. The rooms are inviting and comfortable. One note in response to others... More

We stayed here one night and our experience has been great. The room we stayed in (115) had its own private netry from the street , was spacious, new, nicely decorated, very comfortable. The price we paid was very reasonable and included a nice breakfast, water, fruits. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four day, three night stay. This charming hotel is right in the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea and it's an easy walk to dozens of fabulous shops, restaurants and Carmel Beach. Pretty & comfortable rooms, a bit warm but lovely. "Pet Friendly" means lots of dogs and people who really love their dogs. I agree that if you... More
