My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful week at the Grand Palisades Resort. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the resort and the rooms. Staying in Carlsbad at the Grand Pacific is such a fun vacation. Love the ocean view. Front desk has always been wonderful. We are owners and have done exchanges through RCI. We had a great time at the Palisades. Between the water park and all the activities, you barely need to leave the hotel. Legoland is litterally right across the street. What a lovely place to stay. I expected a lot of hassle trying to get me to do the timeshare sales pitch tour. I was asked once by the desk clerk if i was interested. No pressure there at all. My husband and I had a very positive experience at this resort. We exchanged through RCI and for once did not feel like a step child because we do not OWN there. I have never stayed at a hotel with worse customer service -ever. My husband and I have traveled a lot, particularly before children. Our condo was not ready at check-in time and while Jacob at the front desk took care of us well, the young front desk staff have no authority and no training in customer service.
