We stayed here for 4 days while visiting San Diego. This hotel is about 15 minutes from San Diego and 5 minutes from Legoland and the ocean, which was great. We traveled to Homewood Carlsbad to take the family to Legoland for a second year. Let me say that this hotel is one of the cleanest, friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in! We stayed with our 2 small children (ages 2 1/2 and 1) for a long weekend over July 4th. I cannot recommend this place more for young families. First it is close to Legoland and the Carlsbad beach (about 5 miles away) is wonderful for children. Seaworld, the Zoo and the Wild Animal Park are also not too far away.... more
