I don't have a single bad thing to say about this hotel. I was in the Jamaican room last week. Although tiny (only big enough for 2 people), everything in the room was updated. Capitola is a very cute town and I would recommend staying here and checking it out. Excellent bars, shops and restaurants literally across the street.

The Capitola Hotel is right in the middle of everything you want to see in Capitola. We stayed in the Jamaica room which overlooks the Esplanade. As mentioned in another review, yes, it's noisy, but it wasn't that bad. The music coming from across the street stopped at 11:00p.m. and the ear plugs provided did help. The room was cute,... More

This was a great choice for our romantic getaway, the room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Antigiua room. The location was perfect, right in the middle of Capitola, perfect for going out after hours and enjoying the night life. The only complaint would be how close our room was to the next room, every time the neighbor... More

The hotel is lovely, the staff is wonderful. I hate to review it so poorly, but the noise is just terrible and kept us up at night. The street noise and music coming from the restaurants/bars right across the street is so loud. They give you ear plugs in your room, so they are quite aware of the problem. But,... More

Great room, great location. Staff was very helpful, free parking overnite if you ask the staff. Bed was very comfortable, room was squeaky clean. Nice flat screen tv, nice bath. Lice restaurants and beach nearby.

Recently while doing a motorcycle tour along the PCH we got stuck in traffic on the way to Carmel and decided to get off the highway for a bite to eat. We wound up in Capitola and liked what we saw. Two nights later we decided to drive back from Napa and try to stay in Capitola. We managed to... More

Had a great stay staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Located in the mix we enjoyed everything was walking distance restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee house, and beach. The parking is a little chaotic and rooms are a little small. Overall was pleased to spend a little extra for a great experience, we will be back.... More

Hotel was very clean and nice. Breakfast was very yummy and the bed was comfy. The hotel is right near the beach and a buch of restaurants and bars. It was expensive, but compared to other hotels in the area (santa cruz included) the price was fair. The only downside is parking. You can pay to reserve a space off... More

This hotel is in a good location. The rooms are small probably about 300 sq feet. We stayed in the Grand Cayman which is supposed to be the largest room. The room has two queen beds with a dresser in between the beds and that's it no room to walk around. TV on wall above tiny closet. The bathroom is... More

We are a 10 room boutique hotel across the street from the beach in the heart of Capitola Village. Though we're not a resort, we agree that we have a great location, friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. If you're looking for a resort style hotel with lots of amenities, you'll pay about 30% more for the same proximity to... More

We have stayed here 5 times in the last 7 years and this was our last. Raised there prices and cut back on the complimentary breakfast. Breakfast the first morning was 15 minutes late and consisted of sweat rolls from Walmart and coffee. The second day was also 15 minutes late and consisted of the same thing plus some muffins.... Over the past 10 years, we've made many improvements to increase the comfort and enjoyment of our guests. We started out humbly offering free coffee in the morning and now offer a "grab and go" style breakfast that includes a variety of items including muffins, pastries, biscotti, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, hardboiled eggs and a variety of breakfast bars. It is... More
