I have wanted to stay at this hotel since it first opened up, and finally I have. My husband booked this for a night I had to work late in the area and met me there. Pro's: location! Can't beat it. Right across the street from all of the restaurants and bars, right on the esplanade. Simply - can't beat... More

We thank these guests for staying with us! We are a small 10 room boutique hotel across the street from the beach in Capitola Village, so it is true, it is a very good location. Our prices are comparable with other hotels in the area that are outside of Capitola Village and much further from the beach. We have in... More

What a great little hotel! And at such reasonable prices. For once my husband and I got to get away without the kids. We'd happened upon Capitola when our oldest was 6 months old so it was so neat to get back 7 years later. It's such a cool little town and still felt the same (a few newer things,... More

My husband & I decided to go down to Capitola fof the Labor Day weekend to celebrate his birthday & to enjoy the Begonia Festival. I originally was placed on a waiting list for the Capitola Hotel. A few weeks later I recieved a call that a room had come available. I took it. The price had gone up since... More

Could have gotten a room twice as big at one of the chains up on the highway, but I wouldn't be almost on the beach, downtown in a VERY cool and walkable fun beach town, and wouldn't have the wonderful ladies to chat with at the front desk. While the room is about the size of a bedroom, it was... More

The room was small but the bed was comfortable. Also noisy. The music from across the street stops at 11 but their are noisy garbage and utility trucks throughout the night. The hotel is located in the center of everything and the parking is, well, complicated; you park at any meter within a few blocks and they give you a... More

I don't have a single bad thing to say about this hotel. I was in the Jamaican room last week. Although tiny (only big enough for 2 people), everything in the room was updated. Capitola is a very cute town and I would recommend staying here and checking it out. Excellent bars, shops and restaurants literally across the street.

The Capitola Hotel is right in the middle of everything you want to see in Capitola. We stayed in the Jamaica room which overlooks the Esplanade. As mentioned in another review, yes, it's noisy, but it wasn't that bad. The music coming from across the street stopped at 11:00p.m. and the ear plugs provided did help. The room was cute,... More

This was a great choice for our romantic getaway, the room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Antigiua room. The location was perfect, right in the middle of Capitola, perfect for going out after hours and enjoying the night life. The only complaint would be how close our room was to the next room, every time the neighbor... More

The hotel is lovely, the staff is wonderful. I hate to review it so poorly, but the noise is just terrible and kept us up at night. The street noise and music coming from the restaurants/bars right across the street is so loud. They give you ear plugs in your room, so they are quite aware of the problem. But,... More

Great room, great location. Staff was very helpful, free parking overnite if you ask the staff. Bed was very comfortable, room was squeaky clean. Nice flat screen tv, nice bath. Lice restaurants and beach nearby.
