Everybody that works there is so helpful with things to do and making it easy to park without getting a ticket because they give you a permit to use. The resturant they suggested was the best place i ever ate and it had a real little cable car that you rode down to the Shadowbrook resturant a 5 minute walk... more

Okay since you really want to know if you will have a pleasurable time here at your stay. I will tell you this, we checked in hoping to have a good nights rest. Bed was making loud noices when you get up to use the rest room. In the morning woke up to find, two stains hidden underneath the pillows.... more

Perfect location. Across the street from all of the restaurants, bars and beach. Walking distance to everything in town. Very cute and clean rooms. Local people were very friendly and loved being in such a quaint town. Checked in after hours and it was very easy. Location very easy to find and premium parking! Zeldas has great local nightlife, and... more

The hotel is in the heart of Capitola. It was very clean, new and cute. The good AND bad thing about this hotel is that it's across the street from restaurants. It was very noisy at night because of the music and kareoke that lasted until 11:15. It's not a good sign when they provide earplugs on the nightstand!! Earplugs... more

This hotel is so charming. Yes, the rooms are small (better to cuddle up in). When we were there, some major construction was going on in the street in front. But with this much charm, who cares? We didn't. This place is a Capitola icon. I cannot say it enough -- CHARMING. We stayed in the Aruba Room. CHARMING. My... more

Capitola is one of my favorite places to visit. Wanting to stay at a place in the village and close to the Shadowbrook restaurant, our choices were limited. I was hesitant about staying at the Capitola Hotel because of reading reviews on this website about the noise. I had confirmed reservations for the Paradise Island room and was concerned when... more

My wife, her best friend, and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. We did not have a reservation, but Susan was very accommodating. We felt very pampered and yet felt very much at home. A unique experience. We had 2 separate rooms, and I can honestly say noise was not an issue. When we checked out we told... more

My husband and I spent a very enjoyable 3 nights at the Capitola Hotel in mid-May of this year. We booked the Paradise Island room, which is on the ground floor and towards the back of the hotel. If you don't like a small room, I would suggest that you book Paradise Island as it is a medium size with... more

I was surfing in Capitola and wanted to stay for a few days longer to enjoy the great waves. Wanted to be next to the surf without having to drive to eat and sleep. The Capitola Hotel was right there. I could wake up in the morning, have coffee downstairs and walk across the street to the beach, surf and... more

I agree on the "Hotel from Hell". First of all the manager booked the room for me a month ago, however didn't write down a price. I was quoted $169/night but when I arrived, an unexperienced male desk clerk told me that it was going to be $198. He had to contact the manager and we did get it straightned... more
