Took my wife here for her birthday. Room covered in ants. 2nd room thy offered was also covered in ants. Was at hotel for less then an hour when owner decided to keep a full night deposit of $140.00 when I decided to go find a better hotel. Found quality inn down the street that had 2x as much room... This is not a place for the light-hearted. If you don't plan on spending anytime at the hotel then have at it. Otherwise stay away. Rooms are stuffy, AC very noisy, coffee is crap and they are not very clean. I can't believe they get away with advertising a breakfast. Very run down less the bathroom which was recently remodelled.... More

Me and my other half travel often for business and pleasure, and I have got to say that this place is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in! Office smelled of curry and smelly feet, followed by them charging our card twice for the room. After arriving at our designated room 14 the key did not work.... More

My husband and I travel all over and we like to stay on the water when we can. He wanted me to book a smaller hotel this time so I did when we pulled up I just wanted to just keep driving, however it was late at night and we thought we would just go ahead and try it. We... More

I found my experience at this inn delightful, it was so nice to stay in a original hotel, I found out from the locals that it was the first on this stretch of PCH. The beds were comfy, bathrooms clean, mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot were great, I started calling this my little apartment !! I brought comforts from home,... More

Paid ahead for hotel near the ocean. Got one. That's the best thing I can say about it. Got the key, opened the door, looked around, and promptly decided to take a loss on what we already paid in order to find a room where we wouldn't be afraid to touch things. We have stayed in many older hotels where... More

This was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in and the man at the front was unbelievably rude. We checked in late and need a room for the night just to sleep. We were on a business trip and were not expecting anything fancy just clean. The owner, I believe who is the East Indian man at the front,... More

We stayed here 5-6 years ago,the location is ideal ,the beach is just a walk away, and the rooms were clean with coffee machines, outside the rooms ,tropical plants, humming birds everywhere, the people who ran the place provided boogie boards ,towels, chairs etc. This time, the room was grubby,no coffee machines in the room, nothing for the beach, plus the coffee they provided was undrinkable,we were the only... I had stayed here once before many years ago, and really liked it. I thought the reviews were bad because it was not as modern as other places near by. I checked in at 9pm and after stayed in San Diego the night before. I was travelling with my 10 year old twin boys. At first we thought we could... More

After reading the negative reviews, I was prepared for the worst. We brought our own sheets, lysol, paper towels, flip flops, shampoo, etc. We opted to stay on the second floor: unit 37; and it was very clean, with coffee, shampoo, lotion, soap. The TV,ceiling fan(no a/c, which you don't need) fridge, microwave, coffee maker all worked fine. The ocean view from the lanai... More
