A big group of us visited the restaurant after a tiring walk to Taktsang. I think that our growling stomachs were the only reason that we could eat as much as we did. The food took quite a long time and the prices definitely did not match the quality. The clear soup and vegetable fried rice was good but other... More

During our two weeks sojourn in the Beautiful Mountain Kingdom of BHUTAN - the most memorable days were the ones which we spent in the homely and friendly place -Metta Resort And Spa. Besides it's scenic and idyllic location, the hospitality and personal attention which is amply showered on each guest by it's Lively Owner Couple- Sherine and Tshering Tobgay and... More

We were at this wonderful hotel for a total of 3 nights during May 2014. We find the owner- wife is Malaysian Chinese, Sharine- very warm and friendly and go to great length in taking care of her customers. Compared to other hotels that we have stayed during our Bhutan trip, we find this the best in terms of room,... More

We stayed at Metta resorts in the month of May for a couple of days. The place is owned by Tsering and his Malay Chinese wife Sharine. The Pros first : The place is owned and run by a Bhutanese and comes with the traditional 'Bhutanese hospitality'; the staff are warm and cheerful and more than ready to help you... More

The good things about this place are many. Cheerful well appointed rooms-though I did miss a cupboard or a closet. Nice location. Warm hospitable staff with good command over many languages Excellent food. Free wifi everywhere-they even give you a laptop to use during the stay. Reasonable rates for food and drinks that were not part of the package. Personal... More

My wife and I stayed here two nights. We were greeted very kindly bybthe staff and the room was beautiful. Unfortunately, my wife got food poisoning the first night there from dinner. Beyond that the food was very uninspired. There was very little Bhutanese influence to the cuisine and breakfast was served according to what they expected us to like.... More

Those have been to Paro more than once will agree that there are two types of hotels there- mostly those that appear to be very home like, run by a family of cheerful and hospitable people, all ready with a smile and genuine efforts to make you HAPPY. Truly they try to live up to the mandate of the country:... More

The resort setup is one cottage with 2 rooms each. The resort is surrounded by mountains and so the surprising part was that there was no real view of the mountains from the room. Other than that it was a near-perfect stay. The room is tastefully done with heaters in the room as well as bathroom and all other ameneties... More

A set of simple, well-tended en suite cabin rooms ringed by mountains in this three-star number is worth it thanks to the warmth of staff, hosts and radiators alike. Plus the prospect of post-trek massages, yak dumplings and ginger carrot cake turns chilly evenings into blissful retreat. Nice team.
