The most exisitising thing is that I chose Bhutan ,the land of happiness to celebrate my Ist anniversary. I was a little anxious whetherI would figure out a good accommodation over there or not .During my browsing on enternet along with a good number of resorts I encountered metta resort and Spa.I was being mesmerized by their wonderful convergence perhaps... We stayed at Metta for 2 nights. It was our anniversary trip to Bhutan. The location was good, excellent view of the snowy mountains from our cottage. Food was good. Staffs were very friendly. The only problem we faced was with the water heater. As the water freezes inside the pipes during night, sometimes it takes upto 20 minutes to... More

We stayed here for three nights in August 2013. It was raining when we got to the hotel. The ladies at the reception hurriedly took our luggage and delivered them to our room in order to avoid our luggage being wet. We were served coffee and snacks at the reception and spent about 30 minutes there. When we got to... More

Surprisingly , did not enjoy this resort as much in spite of having asked for it specifically. Found it commercial, service was not up to the mark and we were generally ignored once they realised we were not keen on eating dinner in house. The breakfast was good and one of the staff made an effort to provide the elders... More

The staff were super, the food (as in much of Bhutan) is bland, but they will give you a side dish of chilli if asked. there was more than enough food. the home made cake was very good. My room was ok, big and warm, but the bathroom was dire. a faint smell of poo and the constant hum from... More

Place was excellent, rooms were good service was very nice, Tried the spa too, it was very relaxing after a climb to taksang.... Will definitely recommend... Word of advice - most of the resorts in paro are far away from city centre including metta.. We had our own car and driver who picked and dropped us from the place. Else... More

Hotels and Food are not up to Western Standards, unless you stay at one of the three Aman resorts...but that would not be "the real" Bhutan experience. Take time here, the pace is slow, but the life rich.

I stayed my first two days in Bhutan here. Yes the access road was bumpy but the room was huge and it was very quiet at night. No barking dogs! The rooms all have heat which is important when you travel in Bhutan in winter. When they have tour groups here they have wonderful buffets for breakfast and for dinner.... More

The rooms ate really good along with the upholstery and toiletries provided. But their food menu ia extremely limited. They however offered us dishes outside the menu but it got boring to eat same thing all 3 nights in a row. They should enhance their menu. Being offseason, they were not runnjng their tandoor, so all indian dishes were missing.Avoid... More

It is a very good resort with great hospitality once you reach there. Nicely decorated and spacious rooms, clean bathrooms, decent food. The Resort is quite, calm and pleasant. However, location and accessibility to the resort is a big problem. A very dusty and absolutely broken road leads to the resort which outside the main town. In evenings, the surrounding... More
