It is an average hotel. Wifi is only available at the reception area (lobby) since there is no wifi in rooms. Rooms are very big with a balcony but the bathroom Washroom is very average with poor decor. The food in the restaurant was without any fantasy and at most mediocre. Coming to Paro and being in nice hotels in... More

I stayed in here in mid december , last 2 nights of my bhutan trip. Paro is realky cold in winter so if you are traveling in winter prepare well. This is a simply decorated beautiful hotel with extra large rooms. Free wifi available only in lobby area. Beds are comfortable enough and they had extra blankets for winter. Heaters... More

During my recent visit to Paro I stayed in Udumwara Resort. The location is fantastic. Very Big rooms with all facilities, Each Room has a small balcony which overseas the Hill Slope with green trees and a river below. Truely the location is wonderful. Specially each and every staff was very cordial and extended the best cooperation during our stay.... More

Its an average kind of property. I was told by my travel agent that it is 4-star property which I later discovered it os not. Reception area remains very cold and there is no provision of heaters to keep it warm. You need to sit at reception area (lobby) if you need wifi (as there is no wifi in rooms).... More

Probably the most disappointing hotel on our trip. Same because staff were nice enough and hotel could be OK with just a little bit more effort. Huge room but bit grotty in places. Hotel is cold but were given a heater on last night. Lack of atmosphere in restaurant and bar and hotel just feels too big and soulless. Food... More

This has been one of the most memorable stays i have had. I dint expect this place to turn out to be much more than it promised. Brilliant rooms with great view, a great staff that really want to make your stay memorable. A big thank u to Jyoti who made my stay the best and comfortable it could be.... More

It takes a lot for me to give a hotel a 1-star rating but Udumwara really went out of their way to earn it. First issue - the manager is an elitist jerk. We had a reservation at Udumwara for two nights. However, we had gotten along really great with a local family and wanted to stay with them for... More

Hello Sir/Madam, there are certain policies in every hotel that needs to be followed. You cannot question why the policy is into existence. We have a policy whereby the guides or the drivers are not allowed to stay in the rooms allotted to the guests. There is a reason behind, the other guests staying would not like it. We used... More

The hotel location is excellent considering that it's right next to the Paro chu... Looks like they originally started with a decent plan but somewhere lost the plot completely.. the rooms are spacious but very badly maintained... balconies in every room but no place to sit....let's not even talk about the bathrooms.. room service was pathetic... food was not even... What a waste of the wonderful location - on the bank of the Paro river. A WASTED OPPORTUNITY. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed. After a gruelling drive from Punakha to Paro, we had to check in at this terrible place for a night, as accomodation at Naksel Resort was not available. Chipped paint, walls and roof... More
