For our entire trip we stayed in three star hotels. For the last night we decided to treat ourselves at this expensive resort hotel. The road to the hotel was so awful that we couldn't face driving back down the hill to go for dinner in Paro. We had climbed the Tiger's Nest and were pooped. Pluses: 1. We had... More

Naksel is a very nice hotel with great views. You can see the Jomolhari peak and the Tiger's Nest monastery from there. We actually had a view of both from our hotel balcony. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The hotel is almost in the middle of nowhere which is nice since it is so peaceful. The hotel itself... More

The amazing hotel is at the top of a road part gravel part pitched and is located on the hillside, about 30 minutes from Paro. The hotel has a main building, and higher on the hill, there are small buildings each housing four rooms (two on the ground floor, two on the first floor). We stayed for two nights in... More

Waking up every morning to a breathtaking view of the himalayan peaks was only the beginning of how unbelievable my stay at the Nak -Sel Resort was. A beautiful oasis on the side of a mountain with far-reaching views across to the Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery and snow-capped Mount Jomalhari. Unlike all the other hotels we stayed in, Naksel's rooms have underfloor heating to keep them warm all the time. As we traveled in winter many hotel rooms were quite cold, but not this one. We stayed... More

This is the best hotel we stayed in during two weeks in India, Nepal, and Bhutan. The rooms are gorgeous, the views stunning, the food is excellent, and the service is top-notch. The only downside is that it is quite a way out of town up a dirt road that takes 10 minutes and a lot of bumping and jostling.... More

The architecture of the hotel is really nice! It is located up above the mountain at 2,700m level. The rooms are built as independent villas each with 2 storey high. We (party of 3 adults) travelled to Paro by flight from Kolkata dec 13, 2014. We managed to get cab fare of Rs600 from paro airport to Naksel hotel and that was the cheapest compared to others and the hotel itself indicating that typical cab fare was Rs 1300-1500. Lesson learnt - bargain hard (we did because an indian gentleman... More
